Found my CamelBak while cleaning today and noticed it was a bit funky smelling in the bladder. Any ideas or tips on how to clean it or will i have to shell out for a new one?

I just use a piece of thin wire and have a loop in the end of it just to hook the paper towel

I just take another bladder from supply lol jk.

I always took some K'NEX (kids building toy) and put them together to spread the sides of the bladder away from each other and hung it over the fan. Call it ghetto, but it worked...until I put Gatorade in one. Don't do it!

What I used to kill everything is a little bit of beach a cap of it with some hot water. let it sit over night and water cycle it a few times. Then I used some dish soap with hot water let it sit again few hours then water cycle it out again. The water cycle should be with hot water, keep on cycling until all the soap is gone.

I used to use bleach, but someone told me over time it can eat at the lining. So now I use lemon juice (a couple teaspoons for a 100oz camelbak - let it sit soaking and then empty it and dry it out)

I totally forgot about that. after you clean it real good with the stuff I said earlier then use the info below to keep it fresh. Remember it for water use only.

Scrap it and get a new one.

Get two, that way you can fill one halfway with water, the other partway with alcohol.

Best idea EVER!

I was at Washington State University for a semester before I deployed, during football season. I'd take one with water, and the other with whatever I felt like drinking....usually vodka/something. Tuck the alcohol one inside all the way, and it looks like you have a full camelbak. Simply swap hoses out of the case, and you're good to go.

God I miss being a college student sometimes.
