Although i have not personally hunted it down to witness myself, It is said that one of the Devs posted up on the EU PS forums that they will be releasing a PSN demo for this game on Feb 11th. I have high hopes for this game, hopefully the demo will not disappoint

As soon as that demo hits the PS Store I am getting it. This game looks awesome.

Shit, I already preordered it from Amazon. Hope the demo doesn't suck!

Hey all,
You want to try your hands at heavy rain early (before feb 11th). Go here and register http://www.precinct52.com/case1117_briefing then work the evidence. Hint here is what you want to submit.
The four pieces of evidence are:
• Short cigarette (117b)
• Origami bird
• Coffee shop C (it says "diner")
• 117h (tyre tracks).
Then download code

finally got on the site, seems to have less traffic at the moment. downloading now
...or not. I entered the code they gave me and it says code may be incorrect or no longer valid :(

figured out my problem. It seems that while some codes are going out just fine, others (like mine) are actually European codes. Why they would give us EU codes when it clearly asks you your country when you sign up, i do not know. The solution is, if you get that same error i got, to make a fake PSN account with a EU address. Just google London addresses and give them the address of a hotel or something and you'll be good, so long as it is a valid address. I think the important part is getting a proper city, province, and postal code.

Alright it finally worked for me. I tried about 30 times yesterday and got nothing. Thanks for the info I have been wanting to check out this game since I first heard about it.

I just finished up the demo and let me say, this game is going to be awesome. It was like walking through a good crime thriller movie or book. The actual walking control is a bit clunky and will take some getting used to but the rest is very unique and cleverly executed. I've played games that use reaction commands before but the way they implement them in the game make it feel really seamless instead of obtrusive like they normally do. Plus you get to beat up a douche bag, how cool is that?
This game is enough to spark anyone's interest in wanting to become a crime scene investigator just like that first episode you ever saw of CSI did

Just finished the Demo the other day too. Lookin forward to the full game. I let my fiancee' give it a try and she's not really a gamer and she liked it. Controls were not too intimidating for her and she really liked how the story and look of the game was. I just sat back and watched her and I found just watching someone play it just as good as playing it.

I noticed the Heavy Rain Demo while I was looking around at The Playstation Store this morning. I do believe this will be a great game.

I haven't downloaded it cuz it'd be like watching 20 minutes of a movie before it comes out. I'd like to try the new gamplay mechanic that this game introduces.

I downloaded this and played through it today. The games graphic I thought were pretty good. Still not sure if I want to purchase this game though. I might be better off just renting this one.

if you want TLOG, the demo is split into 3 parts and you can choose to only play one section. You can just play the first part, which is the tutorial/introduction, where it teaches you how the gameplay works while walking down an alley. one you get to the other side it ends and goes back to the title screen. That would give you the chance to try out the mechanics without dipping into the story aspect

So who got this game so far? I saw FloatOn playing it late lastnight, anyone else?
here is an interesting article from gamepro titled why you shouldn't play heavy rain more than once (http://www.gamepro.com/article/features/214162/why-you-shouldnt-play-heavy-rain-more-than-once/)
at first i thought it was going to be some whining article about how the reviewer just didn't like it but after reading i completely understand what they mean and i would probably be the same way. Just give it a read and you'll see what i mean

For those playing the game please discuss it here. NO SPOILERS(Unless we have spoiler tags}

hey TLOG or any JC, can you merge these two heavy rain threads and then delete this post? sorry, i'm a neat freak lol
and i believe spoiler buttons are possible, i saw them in a list of phpBB 3 mods somewhere, but i think smoke would have to install them first, unless he already did and was being sneaky sneaky ;)

This should be merged/ FYI there's a delay in the distribution of the Heavy Rain episode 1 codes if you have that bonus from GS or Amazon.

This game rocked!! I had a blast playing it. It started off slow at first then the story line built up. Almost everything is interactive. You could make your coffee or go to the refrigerator and to drink some orange juice. You play as the women and get to take a shower with her, lol. The story line was very intense and it really got me involved and wanting to know who the killer was. You must be extremely careful with your actions during the game not to change the outcome of the story. I lost one of my characters in a fatal accident along the way  . I accidentally shot and killed a possible origami suspect, I just hit the first button I saw pop up and it was the trigger button.
There are not a lot of games that can keep my wife's interests but this game did it. I beat it after playing almost 9 hours straight. Kinda tempted to go back and see how things would change if I did things differently.

I picked this up as well. My wife left the room and didn't want to watch 'cause she didn't want to duplicate anything I did with the story. So we're being careful not to play it around the other. :) Having a lot of fun, and it's interesting 'cause you start to form your own suspisions about who the killer might be. I'm totally diggin' the game. And I read somewhere that as the story goes, at some point the game decides who the killer is. apparently there is something like 10 people that end up being the killer depending on how you play it. I just read that somewhere, don't know how valid that is, but sounds neat.

Just finished up this game and it was definitely not like any other game I have played...ever... I loved the QTE, the storyline was gripping and loved the fun twists and turns. I also went back and finished this game multiple times so I could see all 17 different endings. Let me say it was a few hr's of work but WELL worth watching all the different endings... there are some that even blew me away. The game was beautifully made, character's where top-notch. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a change of pace in playing video games. Funny side note, my daughter watched me play the beginning and she was hooked for the next 4 hrs as I played through (she doesn't sit still to save her life and she sat next to me and told me what to choose for the next 4 hrs, it was great!)

That is what I am saying I loved this game. It was hard to explain how awesome it is. I wanted to know if there are different killers depending on how you play the game. This game was exciting to me until the very end. My wife even loves it and she doesn't like many games at all. If your skeptical about this game I say at least rent it. If you have a day off play it all day and you will at least be able to see how great it is.

This works for the move, and it is AWESOME! I just got it cause I found out the move works with it. I don't know why I never got it before... Great interactive drama I must say, and quite moving.

I would definitley suggest anyone to rent this game if they didn't want to spend the 60 on it brand new. It's a great game. I kind of wish I didn't get rid of it so I could play it again.

Sorry guys, if I can't team kill in it, then I won't play it!
I have looked at this game a couple of times, but always seem to grab something else to rent. If it gets DB's stamp of approval, then I will have to give it a try. ;)

Yeah, it's definitely a good game to try. I was one of those that wasn't really interested but opt to rent it to find out what all the hype was. It's really a cool game. Never thought I'd be into an interactive story game but it's pretty well done. I was planning on waiting for it to get old and pick up a used copy on craigslist or something but with the new Move add-on, they used price has gone up or people are holding on to it for a bit longer. So I'm gonna wait for a bit but I will pick it up used eventually.
