I know we try to keep politics out of this, but this could have dire ramifications that affect us all
The Gov of Texas is talking about seceding AGAIN at a rally yesterday. Scroll down to the audio clip.

Also I have a friend that works the State House in Montgomery (Alabama Capitol). He has been hearing allot of "whispers" of State Independence and Secession. With several Governors talking with Bob Riley(Alabama Gov.) and considering this as an option.

Texans talk a good game but they cannot secede as much as they talk about it being a republic. They seemingly forget to review their state constitution ;) .

Sorry for not posting in awhile, but anyways here's my two cents for anyone whom might care. Yes it is disturbing that the state of Texas wishes to secede from the United States of America and the ramifications afterward affects us all living in the USA. What I do believe the problem is that a lot of people, not only in Texas, are getting very upset at the federal government these days for being so arrogantly disenfranchised with the American people. DC spends Americans hard earned money and, in this deep recession, simply do not care what the people they represent think while wallowing through trillions of taxpayers dollars like Paris Hilton in Tiffany's. Political corruption is at it's all time high and no matter what party your in or where you grew up in the USA, I think we all can agree that the corrupt should be held accountable for their actions and thrown out of office with the Monday morning garbage. This living on credit and deficit spending has got to end or we are doomed to failure in the future. One cannot run a successful business the same way our federal government is run, and any lib-tard could figure that much out. If your a Bush hating, blind Obama worshiping ass kisser, even you can agree that our fore-fathers would be ashamed at what our country has devolved into.

Why can't we go back to our roots such as THE ORIGINAL CONSTITUTION, remove the blood sucking leeches, and trim the lethargic fat off of our great country so we can yet again obtain that sub-12 minute 2 mile run time? I was taught in the Army that we always leave a place better than how it was found, how is this possible for future generations with this power sucking, liberty consuming monster of a federal government? Absolute power corrupts absolutely, so we shall see what happens in the future. If we do keep going down the road we are on and "living in a drunken party state of conscientiousness," I feel that we may not have enough aspirin to bare the hangover. When I signed up, I swore an oath to defend the country and the Constitution against enemies both foreign and domestic. When will politicians be held to the same standard? Please give me back my country, anyone with me?

I can't diss Texas. Some good friends are Texans. It's just the pride. Texans have the biggest chest than any other citizens. Yes, they even beat out New Yorkers which some say is impossible lol. :D

We have lived in Texas almost a Year now and I can say a lot of the 24 million plus people in this state are Tards. This is the Most Right Wing, and Racist state I have ever been in. Thats saying a lot mind you because I grew up in Illinois which is a stones throw from OHIO and Ohio looks like a resort compared to Good 'ol Texas................I am really Skeptical of any state that believes that George W did a great job with this country.......lol. No I am not a Democrat, and No I am definitely not a Republican...However my wife and I do Earn enough money to be Republicans. My point in Politics is the same it has been since 95, you should always vote selfishly, when you dont personally read about the candidate or know anything about politics. However for those of you who do, Give Ron Paul a shot.......I like Ron Paul's political View. Texas could use some Ron Paul in their life as well as some psycho-therapy classes. Any state and where Grown men that obsessed with High school football has serious issues. I mean these men are freaks, If you are worshiping, and talking about High school boys, even when your child doesn't attend the school..........that makes me wonder, because back home we call those people pedophiles, thats all I am saying....I am just Ranting, and Raving about this now, More like Venting really. Damn I cant Wait till my wife gets new PCS orders Next year 2011 cant come soon enough.....I hate Texas is all I am trying to say with this post that has kept going, and going, and...............

Hell, if states started seceding, and state governments started running things again, it would be closer to the original intent of the concept of the United States of America than it is now.... The Federal Gevernment has its hands too full to do anything effectively, and in the process, gets 100% of issues 10% resolved.... And it gets worse....
