Core vs. Hardcore

Just wanted to get opinions on what people prefer. I personally prefer Hardcore but have been playing some Core lately and have for the most part, been kicking ass. I think maybe it's due to the fact in hardcore you have to be faster on the trigger. Like I said, just curious as to members preferences.

I was only core because that's all that I could get on. Now that Christmas came and more have received the game I find my self getting better at hardcore.

I play hardcore cuz I like the friendly fire and the no HUD. It requires more skills than just fast target accqusition. I do miss having the variable weapon damage of core. I prefer the 240B but its not worth using in hardcore where every weapon has the same damage. I will never be happy.

I used to only play core because I hated the campers in HC but have found with kill confirm hiding in a corner just helps my team actually win the game. Plus I like blasting people with shotguns in HC.

I think core is the best. Hardcore is prime for campers, considering the one shot kills and no overhead HUD. With the one-shot kills you can run suppressed sniper classes to achieve max effects. With Core, you still find your fair share of campers, but you have the opportunity to counter them a bit easier. Basically whoever gets the drop first will win. I like Hardcore for some game types, like SnD and Kill Confirmed, but not really team death match itself or obj based games like Dom.

It varies - I play a lot of both. I prefer Core slightly, but some days I'm just not hitting people with most of my bullets, but getting first hit, so I'll drop out of Core and play HC. Just depends on how I'm doing that day.

I used to hate Hardcore until I joined up with you guys LMFAO!!

Now that I've had practice and found a good hardcore custom class, I enjoy HCKC quite a bit... But the maps are getting stale, cant wait for the DLC drop.

When im not playing hardcore tho, I love LoVe LOVE me some Mosh Pit. The strategy is always changing and the tables are always turning.

I play everything, but prefer core over HC. I feel like its less campy and faster paced, and the campers are easier to deal with.

I'm usually a core guy for the most part because (like everyone else) I hate the campers. But as everyone else has also said KC really hurts the campers, so that is good to go in HC. Pretty much every time I'm playing with the clan it's HC KC which is pretty bad ass, but I wouldn't mind doing some more objective games with the clan like Domination or Team Defender. Core Domination is usually what I play when I'm kicking it solo.

Right after Christmas, this was true. The n00bs were all on Core. But after 3 or 4 weeks a lot made it over to HC, so it's not much different. And it only takes 3 shots with a pistol on core.

I'm a Hardcore player at heart and have been since COD4 but even since then I've been trying to make my way towards Core gameplay. I'm great at both but I'd say I have the advantage in Hardcore. Core is great for eating bullets and smacking some bad kids :p

I only play HC unless I'm with a group. Even then I do try to suggest playing HC.

I just enjoy the speed more. Having said that I do not enjoy HC TDM because of the respawn waiting time, but HC KC is pretty much all my play anymore -- in KC there aren't very many campers because as was already mentioned they hurt their team.

Campers FTL but you are correct KC has the worst if you ask me. HC KC is hella bad.

I like playing HC KC but last night I was getting my ass handed to me. For some reason my trigger finger didn't get the jump off when I saw someone coming at me. Hopefully it will be different next time

i like playin HC when i'm playin with a group of clan members. the only time i play core is when im solo or there's like me plus another one or two.

If I hit you with 1 burst from a M16, your down in real life. Maybe not permentantly, depending on what you are wearing and where the bullets actually hit, but you are knocked off your feet. It shouldn't take 4 bursts to put someone down.

I am loving hardcore, just wish there was a ctf for it. I enjoy KC, but I love disappointing flag carriers when they think they got away.

HC CTF would be insanely difficult I think. But I thought HC Dom would be impossible. But our group pretty much rapes all. Idea maybe for another tourney. 4v4 or 5v5 HC CTF. Pretty much ran like gb's, only HC.

My biggest issues with core is since no friendly fire guys lob blind stuff too much and I can put 10 hit markers on someone without a kill. HC at least it's 2-3max

While some guns may take 6-10 bullets (I actually think the only gun that takes 6 is a Smg at range), the M16 is a 1-burst kill (provided all 3 bullets hit) at short and medium and a 4-5 bullet kill at medium/long to long range.

I love playing Hardcore. There are times or games types I do play on core but for the most part I play hardcore.

I get lots of blind semtex and frag kills, but only when I have a UAV up or I know where my team is all located. I actually try to monitor where everyone is so I can avenge them or throw a flash just before they enter an area.

Ya hardcore makes you think about these things just like playing with teammates does... It makes you operate in a strategic fashion and I do enjoy that part of it...
