I just have to take a minute to recommend one of these (or a similar model). I got one for Christmas and have made dinners for the family almost every day for the last week and a half using it. Cooks everything evenly and thoroughly (unlike a microwave), and in a less time than with a regular oven. Perfect if you're cooking for one or a family of five like I do.
I roasted a whole six-pound chicken in 30 minutes. It turned out perfectly.
I'm not sure if Aldi is still carrying these, but you can find similar brands and models by searching for "tabletop convection oven".
