Fake gun fire/muzzle flash because those looked like some of those airsoft replica rifles I've seen before. Some of those airsoft guns are hard to distiguish from the real ones. Obviously they didn't spend money on wardrobe because not exactly the outfits you want going on a covert day mission in the snow. Otherwise it was pretty good editing.
