Me and AiborneDaddie aka JumpMastr82nd were getting our HCKC on today. Having a blast as usual... Then Dome comes up in the map selection. A bunch of people leave, and a party of six jumps in. No clan tags or anything, but they all came at the same time so you just kind of assumed they were in a party. The match started and all I have to say is we got our shit ROCKED. The entire team used TACs to "spawn trap" us into the main room up top next to all the HMMWV's (humvees for those who are lost lol)... We had no chance. They were at every major exit, but were far away enough to not reset the spawn point and their tac inserts were mabe a foot away from their firing positions!

Anyways, after we got our asses handed to us, JumpMastr congratulated them on their strategy. It may have been cheap, but it was, after all, a good foolproof strategy. So they invite us to the next game and they start talking game plan. We find out, the 'best' strategy/gameplan for players at the top of the MW3 leaderboards (atleast numbers 1, 3, and 19) are to use some kind of no-lock rocket launcher, tac insert, quickdraw pro, blind eye OR sleight of hand and have the entire team hold down the most tactically sufficient 'area' (which generally speaking would be the top looking down) on the map with tac inserts. When a group would mob up that sleight of hand with rocket launcher would take them all out, and you dont really have to worry about jumping out like an idiot because your tac insert is behind you.

Use it as criticism, food for thought, or just info to know, but I just thought you guys would like to know what kind of strategy the top 20 of the leaderboards were using... I for one was shocked in a way. I always thought tac inserts were just annoying to say the least.

very interesting, I have felt this tactic before in Mission they held the top and center ruins then spawn trapped entire team in junk yard...

Link to the game results in your recent matches would help us see their loadouts.

Go to the theater in-game and put it in your vault. Then upload the video. Or even just a clip of any 2:30 span after they lock you in place.

This is the link to number 19 of the top leaderboard if you guys wanted to see some stat info... really not as impressive as I thought it would be considering the vids you see on YouTube. (for some reason the world leaderboard number cant be seen on elite, but in-game when you go to leaderboards in the barracks I can see him at number 19, just like PakMan is like only 3000 in the world)

I will try to link the vid as soon as I can if I can find it.

Yeah, his K/D is barely higher than mine, and he's been playing for 60,000 kills worth. Only reason he's that high on the leaderboards is he's been playing so long. Clearly the time tracker is still broken for Hardcore, as evidenced by the fact he has only played '19 hours'
Almost 5,000 kills with the SMAW? What a n00b

I rather keep my KD and win %. Hats off to them for being cordial enough to school you on what they do. That was real cool and they didn't have to do it.

Good thread, Cap! I was telling redfox hunter and our green arrow lobby about this and got mixed feelings from the gallery. Everything from cheating, exploiting and boosting was thrown around when I described it as Captain did here. Of course, that was after I barraged them with exactly my load out used in the strategy with the ranked guys. Not really any difference from my normal load out, and if you know me you know it's under mounted on my ACR with ext. mags and it makes a thud when it gets fingered. I've actually been chatting him up throughout the day and joining in for a waxing and keeping notes. The strategy they first used against us was very calculated and kept me challenged trying to pierce his defenses. Everyone was whining camper, noob blah blah...I just kept at it with Cap till we made way and we won him over, so it was a small victory for my stats, but a HUGE one to see a full squad use a specific style as efficiently and effectively and then share it with us. Let alone apply it with an invite to the top spots in the leader boards party. We lost like the 2 and 3 HC KC worldwide guys after the 3rd map and he said it's really hard to smash them like that without full and complete cooperation from the team. Funny thing was after cap and I cracked the initial lockdown they had on us at dome, our team acted like kids, while we were inquisitive. It paid out major for me and for us if we want to explore this strategy. I could do a map walk through in private for a full squad using my notes for Dome, Village, resistance and interchange It fell apart at Arkaden, but I got the gist. It's a teamwork dependent strategy and demands very specific loads, spots, and communication. If you deviate, it fails. Also, not everyone ends up ridiculous in KD and each map has its Patsy or two. Let me know if a full scale write up w/video sounds interesting. I'll check vault for video, but my notes and multiple q&a has village and dome on lock. Believe it. More to follow....question, concerns, comments?

I hope you didn't take me the wrong way, Pak. When I saw you were 3000 (in the WORLD) I about shit myself. LOL :P

On another note, yeah it was cool that they showed us all that stuff. It's given me some ideas of my own and thoughts on ways to get through it if it were to happen to me again.

I forgot to add, I have no way of uploading a video as I turned off theater mode a long time ago because I was told it causes lag. I didn't think about it until I went to my theater vault and it told me I need to play some games online in order to view them here. That's when I remembered my... Mistake >.>

I have a plan tho, I can take a screen shot of the scoreboard and heatmap of the two matches we played against them on Elite and post it here. if you guys feel like looking up their specific info then you'll have it.

Don't fret Cap...big papa parachute here has all the video in the vault. I'm sure when our upper crust competitors in USMG see the vid, they'll say I would done this or that, but you had to be there...fucking carnage!
