Given the density of Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4 rumors clogging up the internet, gamers could be forgiven for believing that Microsoft and Sony are, at any given moment, mere seconds away from officially announcing their new hardware. The next generation is coming, and it’s coming soon, right?

So in other words the title and article had absolutely nothing to do with each other? Good to know, I guess. Of course, I would have read the article regardless, but okay. Are you getting payed to direct people to the articles? Is there a specific reason you're trying to draw interest to it? Aside from the fact that it's general knowledge that people in to console games would have some form of interest in....even without the misdirection.

We are just over three months away from E3 2012. As such, it’s only natural to expect more and more info to emerge — official and otherwise — about the next-generation consoles. Nintendo has been up-front about its intentions to reveal Wii U details throughout the year, while news about Microsoft’s Xbox 720 Durango has been popping up practically non-stop for months.

As more rumors roll in regarding the next generation of consoles, more and more hard evidence of what to expect is making its way through the gate -- to hopefully shed some light on what Microsoft and Sony have up their sleeves.

A reliable fire-starter in the everlasting Sony vs. Microsoft rivalry is which console has the better graphics. Sure, time has elapsed and leveled the playing field considerably, but don’t tell that to each fan base’s most ardent defenders. Just as soon as an Xbox 360 owner will say that Microsoft’s system is better suited for multi-platform games, a PlayStation 3 owner will return fire arguing that Sony’s first party developers better optimize their system’s potential
