Video Editing

Does anyone know where I can get some free/easy to use video editing software? I see everyone putting up so videos on the youtube channel and I feel left out. I'd rather use something someone uses/used because I'm afraid of DL stuff and getting a virus.

I know for linux, you can use kdenlive or cinelerra. Not sure about windows - don't use it much for that sort of thing.
