I just fired up BF3 and patch 1.03 loaded! Hopefully this fixes the chat! :D

Was this just on PS3? Because I don't remember having problems with chat on 360.

The patch seems to have worked! I was in game with Tracker, Clark, and a random and we could all hear each other just fine! WOOHOO! :D

yeah, just PS3 as far as I knew. 360 handles chat separately through the built in party system so there usually isn't issues with it, whereas PS3 relies on the individual game developers to incorporate a working chat system for their game.....

i'm surprised they fixed it so soon though, i figured it wouldn't be for at least another 6 months before they felt like getting around to fixing it, if at all. kind of like the inability to quit between matches...i'm willing to bet that nuisance will persist into the next BF game too despite the community feedback on it.

Any other game and it would be intolerable but I'll put up with just about anything as long as that game us available to play

i was going to jump on with you guys but had to install 2 updates so it's just now finishing. oh well, maybe next time

Yes, it was awesome to be able to hear everyone! We were rolling HOT last night, especially winning rush outnumbered with no tickets left (and no other squads in sight)! :D That would have been impossible to win without comms.
