Your First Perstige

So today (2012 Feb 07) I took the leap and decided it was time to prestige. As I'm waiting to see my fate as to how this match will end, I find out in the end that I was quite good without having all my perks and weapon/mods. To begin, I'm in intermission and the people are talking smack and they just so happened to state the obvious that I had just prestige. I, as a true usmg clan member, kept my mouth shut and waited for the game to begin. I died in the beginning because the weapon I had to choose from wasn't the greatest, but then my instincts kicked in. When I killed an enemy, I stole their weapon and started racking up the kills. Man let me tell you, people in the game where getting pist...hahaha! Anyway,morale of the story is that I should have prestige weeks ago cause you never know how good you are until you start from the bottom. Any stories anyone else would like to pass on to help encourage those to prestige?

Something else to consider is to not avoid the assault strike package like its the plague. I wouldn't even touch it through my first prestige but I found that when I tried it I got way more kills than when I strictly used the support package. I think the biggest improvement from black ops to mw3 is the care package. In black ops I always got garbage and I find in mw3 they are usually pretty darn good, very few uav's, lol. anyway I second that prestiging is a fun and challenging way to improve.

Use your prestige tokens to get the key weapons/perks/whatever you love unlocked when you unlock your custom classes. I fet the FAD and MP7 at lvl 4, instead of 70-something.

I do the same thing spyder. I'm almost always rocking the mp7. I was am idiot and unlocked the AK after my first prestige and now I hate it. I just assumed they fixed the care packages cause I almost always get at least a predator missile, and I've gotten multiple reapers, pavlows, assault drones... I've even gotten a couple juggernaut suits.

I'm at my first prestige and half way to the next and thanx to the fad and scavenger I was able to get there lol :p

Yeah, I used support package almost exclusively starting out but once I started doing better I switched over to assault and it yielded better results. Although I still won't prestige because I like to complete as many challenges as I can and level up my guns.
