SLOW loading pages

Don't know if anyone else has been experiencing these really slow loading pages. I don't know if it's since the chat started being used?

Ok, I just switched over to browsing through chrome instead of IE and it is much faster! Not sure why it's slow now through IE, but it's really slow! Some threads would take up to a couple minutes to load...

I had the same problem with IE it just quit working all together. So I just hopped on the chrome train. lol.

Yeah, IE sucks. For some reason, Chrome acts weird on Windows, so I use Firefox on Windows and Chromium on Linux.

I +1 this. For the longest time I always thought my computer sucked. IE was also the culprit. Yay Firefox!

I've alternated between FF, Chrome, and occasionally, IE9. Both FF and Chrome perform internal caching of pages, which makes them appear to load pages much much faster.

I do find it disturbing that IE is rendering so slow?? What version of IE do you have DB?

Regardless of what browser you use, their are still fundamental standards they all adhere too, so if you seeing 60-90 second loading times in IE, there is something wrong..

Never mind. It's running a bit slow today. Not sure if its my internet at work but I usually never have any issues when browsing the site.

I'm not measuring anything abnormal with my site monitor.. We're averaging about 6 seconds.. I'd personally like to see that down around the 4-5sec on a more consistent basis, but that is pretty damn good, considering we are on a shared host.

Have you guys tried clearing your cache and cookies and all that shit from IE? I know that stuff can have a dramatic difference on how your browser reacts.

Are you on the forum? are you on the homepage? are you chatting? are you on the crimson legion forum? what version browsers are you using? are you on windowz, are you on linux, are you on Apple? is this mobile?

I troubleshoot every problem with the site, but you guys gotta help me out here in terms of troubleshooting, cause honestly, I'm not seeing this latency.. so you gotta give me some troubleshooting here.. who, what where, when, how?

Yes, since chat was installed. Since you've disabled it, the pages will actually load now. Before, if I clicked a link for a forum thread, it would be unable to load the page or would time out. Since you've disabled it, I've had zero problems.

I didn't really have any major problems, but the load time has noticeably improved.

This, I am on IE 8 right now from work and everything is loading fine. Before, it would take minutes to load or not at all. I do think it was from the chat slowing everything down. Since it has been disabled we seem good now :D.
