Valentine's Day.....

I dont know about all of yall but me and my lovely wife exchange gifts.. nothing big but something.. cause not only is it Valentine's day its my Anniversary!! 14 years!!! any way i sent the normal flowers to my wife and daughter....and i bought them both Tickets to Rascal Flats in B-Ham last Sat.. which they bothed Loved!!!! now i didnt get my V-day box on V-day ... but i got it Today.. and my wife is THE BEST... she went a head and got me Star Wars The Old Republic "COLLECTOR'S EDITION"!!!! wow... i wasn't expecting that at all!! she knows me all to well!!lol so did anyone else get anything from your significant other?

No valentines for us. Money is tight, and she had class, so we had some Oreo pie after she got home. Oh, I LOVE me some Oreo pie.....:D

Very nice and congrats on 14 years, I almost made it 3 with my ex back in my 20's.

I had a bouquet of my girlfriends favorite flowers (tulips) made of 2 shades of pink and some red and had a bunch of them delivered to her work(bonus to show co workers) and of course threw in her favorite chocolates.

I got and think it fits me perfect, an underarmour football shirt and fleece pull over in the colors of the new team I joined this year. She said she tried to get the team emblems so she could embroider them onto the fleece and an underarmour hat but no one had it in time. oh and my favorite candy, small reeses peanut butter cups, I eat them like crazy when gaming.

Congratulations. The wife and I also celebrated our 14th anniversary on Monday (the 13th). We had planned on getting married on Valentines Day in 1998, but wound up getting married the day prior on Friday the 13th. Here's the short version of the story:

When I met my wife (Susan) at work, I had been divorced for about a year and a half from my first. Susan's dad was very religious, and told her he didn't approve of her dating a divorced man, as it was apparently some sort of sin. He told her that if she was going to move in with me, that he would not pay for her wedding. So she packed her things and moved in with me that same day.

We wound up driving to a small town called Cattlettsburg, Kentucky so we could elope. We had heard that there was a "no-waiting" marriage chapel there, across the street from the courthouse. For some reason, it was closed by the time we got there. So we just walked over to the courthouse across the street (in wedding dress and tuxedo) and got married by the justice of the peace there.

So....being all we've been through since that day, I can honestly say there's definitely something to the Friday the 13th superstition.

My girlfriend and I went and paid a quick visit to St. Val in person. Some of his remains are kept in a church in Dublin.

My game with some of the guys got cut short yesterday afternoon...took the wife out to see "The Vow" and had a later dinner at Cheddar's...

Well, my wife cracked a rim on her car, so she got all new rims for Valentine's day, and the usual flowers. Normally the flowers and a movie together are about it, since we celebrate V-day on the 16th. We're semi-broke, so that's all she'll get.

The reason we do the 16th is because my wife is an emotional nutbag who ruined what would have been the perfect proposal. I had just gotten a call from the jeweller saying the ring was in, so I was going to take her out to Mt Rainier and propose on V-day, since it was where our first date ended, with us illegally entering the park at midnight. She flips out when I changed our plans, and turns into super-mega-gigantabitch. Two days later, on the 16th, she finally calmed down, so we went to this pizza place to have a make-up dinner.....which is when I tossed her the box, called her a bitch, and asked her to marry me.
