Hey guys, I'm going on my lunch break and I feel like throwing some cash around on a new firearm. The Sig p2022 has caught my eye as of late, so I was thinking about picking one up. I was just wondering... if anyone has this sexy little piece of polymer and what their impressions on it were.

I don't own one, but I have never heard a sig owner say they didn't love theirs! Also, a polymer framed, hammer fired pistol with a manual safety is a BIG win in my book!;)

Shoot it first, if you can find a range that has one on it's rental racks.
I flipped through a couple of forums, and the only complaints I saw were from people saying the fit was kind of "wonky." Direct quote there, lol.
Other than that, it sounds pretty good. And at $350 or so, that might not even be a major issue.

I bought it lol. the setup is great but the one thing I don't care for...(wait for it).... is the poly recoil rod. But that can be switched out, for an after market stainless steel one for 25 bucks. I'm gonna dump 250 rounds through it sometime next week, everything from super clean to the dirty rough cheap shit. I want to get past that breaking in phase ASAP, just to get it working properly. So I can put it in my carry rotation.

I went to the range today and I put about 100 rounds, of Federal Champion 115gr FMJ through it. Out of that I only had 10 hang ups common jams, nothing big no double feed issues, just common stove pipe easily fixed. This Sig is a real tack driver, it didn't matter the range 10, 25, 45, 75 yards this thing was on target with great grouping every time. At longer ranges, I threw a couple from center mass into the shoulder... but at the greater distances that was to be expected. The poly recoil rod, which I thought would be an issue wasn't... but I'm still gonna change it out. Something about that damn thing, just doesn't sit right with me. I'm gonna dump 150 more rounds through it but overall... it's a great 9mm and I'm glad I bought it.

I had the sig pro for several years. The bottom line is I would trust that piece just as much as a glock or any other reliable weapon. It is a full frame that feels good to hold. I used the smaller grips. The night sights were nice and crimson trace has an exceptional laser grip if you want to go that road. I also wore a blackhawk serpa 2 holster in a cross draw location to make it one of my favorite set ups. I eventually let it go cuz it was too hard to conceal on my skinny ass. Well worth the possible 600 you will lay down.

I haven't used a 511 holster, but I must have every other piece of gear they offer. It's a great company to buy from.
