I was talking to one of my old friends @FB & he informed me that old man Vento died back in Aug 11.... for all that you that dont know im taking about Joey Vento.... the owner and ...dare i say Creator of the famous GENO's Philly Cheese Steak ... i grew up hitting Geno's everytime i went north to Philly... even made late night runs with my friends... it was always "ok north to Geno's for steaks or south to Grotto's for pizza"... And i DO NOT CONSIDER..Pat Olivieri the creator of the philly cheese like he claims....pssst. old man Vento was also in the news a few years back because of his sign...The sign reads: "This Is AMERICA: WHEN ORDERING Please 'SPEAK ENGLISH'".lol... best part he got to keep it posted ..it broke no laws!!LMAO!! http://i809.photobucket.com/albums/zz19/crzychinook/home_feature_joey.jpg

Sad to hear him go, and I do agree that Geno's did have some amazing Philly cheese steaks.
