I remember the one day we all were in the lone wolf op for domination and we stayed as a group and continued in a circle to each flag always staying on the outside. That worked really good. I hope the group I end up with plays like this

Ive actually been practicing for this, im managing to get some good 'Core' loadouts for a higher average of kills but I'm not sure about having the most caps (which is what the score is for I believe, clan with the most dom caps)... I WILL BE THERE unless something comes up, but i've 'cleared' my schedule so to speak. lol

Have you tried using the Marksman perk? I believe if they dont have assassin pro, you can see through the smoke and see their names. Also, (im assuming youre still talking about the m60?) the thermal greatly reduces recoil on that (same effect with smoke, see through) and grip decreases it even more but I like thermal with impact so if someone tries to hide around a corner I can still get them without having to halo jump around the corner.

Please dont forget to check out the Elite "improve" section and read the Domination portion. It has a couple of loadout examples that are proven winners, as well as some strategy tips concerning caps and defensive postures. This may help some of you, I know the loadouts worked like a charm for me almost instantly when Ive been in core Dom practice.

Another thought: I've not seen any concrete strategic output from the tier one of USMG (PAK doesn't count--->Leaders must lead) so I've been thinking about some and see if it'll get some ideas flowing so we can execute tonight and tomorrow for practice...So in a 6 man group, anyone like 2 groups of three always running at 2 different points? Two best or Dom strong members split up and team-lead their two guys who would split duties between each other running with strong capturing class and perks.

Im only running ACR w/ext mags and silencer for Core MiniMap management, SMAW for multikill @ cap+antiaircraft... sem/frag, and trophy system for go boom defense during cap... perks will be extreme conditioning for balls out dashing point to point, blast shield for more D, and Steady aim for the Caps that need spraying. With op being totally about caps, and the strongest of us three running a muck, I'll choose Support with vest, counter UAV, and EMP or Osprey. Consider the annoying ass martyrdom death streak in case you bite the dust during a cap, bc they're gonna be rushing. I'm probably stickin to Roxanne, my favorite of my 2 unicorns! I'll also have the same class setup except with Specialist if the lobby gets kill streak crazy. I'll keep same perks above except replace blastshield with hardline pro and receive0 blind eye, assassin, and marksmen per kill with all perks awarded early at 7 kills...


So, my questions to you are...

Are you running perks for this specific task that you wouldn't normally run? Why?

Should we split our teams in half to double the caps and split the D?

What about thirds for really high speed teams (Team Airforce)?

Would multiple tactical insertion at/around a successful Cap point guarantee at least a teammate would spawn there if running two squads of three (2 different and simultaneous spawns each?)?

I know that was a lot of yapping, but wanted to share some thoughts and get the dialog rolling between us with some specifics so folks not familiar with Domination and give them something to comment, or make fun at, so they won't get kicked for blowing this Clan Op off. PAk3000 is serious about that shit, so if you're reading this...write something.

Has anyone had any success with the riot shield? I've never tried it but I was wondering if a loadout that looked like this would be a killer DOM setup:

Primary: Riot Shield
Secondary: MP9
Lethal: Semtex
Tactical: Trophy System
Perks-
-Perk 1: Extreme Conditioning
-Perk 2: Blast Shield
-Perk 3: Sitrep
Support Strike Package -
-UAV or CUAV
-Ballistic Vests
-SAM Turret (or recon drone so we have eyes in the sky to point out the campers)
Death Streak: Martyrdom/Dead-mans Hand

I know from experience that everything in this works great for capturing except for the riot shield. Can anyone say whether or not the protection it provides is worth not having a primary weapon? If it isn't I'd go with either the SCAR or ACR as a primary.

semtex and tac inserts sound like a good idea in case you seperate from the group.
Perks- blind eye, blast shield, marksman.
Support- UAV and ballistics


For closer quarters

Id rather support and let the good guys get the awesome kill streaks and be the decoy :)

Depends on you're trigger finger a little bit. If you need an automatic definitely go with the ACR, if you're a burst shooter go type-95. If your down with a semi auto single fire the mk-14 can put guys down in core with one or two bullets (if you can use this well its incredible in core).

Overview Teams fight to capture and control three flags on the map. Each secured flag earns points for the team, with the winning team being the first to reach 200 points. To capture a flag, teammates need to position themselves near a flag. The more teammates on a flag, the less time it takes to capture it.
Tips Because the goal is to hold onto captured flags, a more defensive mindset is required to maintain control of the field and stay in the lead. Pay attention to your flag icons, as they start blinking when an enemy is attempting a capture. Communicate to see who is closest to the position and dispatch the enemies on the flag to successfully defend the point.

In general, it’s best to hold and defend only two flags on the map. Having a flag advantage generates points twice as quickly as the opposing team, getting you that much closer to 200. Leaving the opponent with only one flag also has the benefit of determining where downed enemies are likely to respawn. Capturing all three flags should only be done when your team needs to make a comeback or when you’re in full command of the game.

ok, with the above lets talk strategy my thoughts since its the most captures, then we should run in 2 groups capturing flags then move to another no defensive players left to hold flags this will make for long games but a lot of capture points for us. so lethal go with semtex or frag, then smoke or flash to help clear area's out. I'll be on around 5 to start warming up. Also go get batteries now or put your on the charges, don't want to have you controller die at the wrong time.

I think sticking as one group would be wiser. We will clear areas quicker and all of us will get each capture. Having two groups, captures flags too quickly and will take the enemy longer to recap if they come across resistance. We want them to have some breathing room to cap so in-turn we recap. The less resistance we come across the easier our mission is. But of course your always going to have that guy who wants to kill everyone......

I am all about the captures, I always have a terrible k/d but I am near the top for just getting captures, prone doesn't always work and peek and fire thru the car windows. I throw a Betty down on the opposing's avenue of approach and it makes them at least hesitate and that is sometimes the 1 second I need to capture. And I run p90 for :Dom cause I can pull attention with large magazines and that gives my team cover to flank or capture. Also if it is a hard spot to snag, I like to push past it and let my teammates capture while I keep the enemy from reaching accurate grenade range. Every one has their own methods but the big thing is communication, we did well very early this morning til a team that was communicating and good sports got us 2 out of 3

I am so glad I just spent 3 hours playing clan ops without a clan. It was alot of fun trying to go against full clans on my own. I did join a few lobby's with other USMG but left without ever firing a shot when I realized they were full. Next time maybe we should have a rally time to sort out who needs teams still. Also just me being a bit nit picky but if your doing clan ops..with a clan party..you should probably have the tag and title on. And just because you don't have premium does not mean we can't use your support. Nothing worse then not having a team and seeing people playing TDM or KC.

Thats what the forums are for to work out the teams, sometimes people don't get a chance to meet up and sometimes communication falls short but yeah... as well as the clan tag? If you join a lobby a have about 200 people leave because of your yellow tags it's not the end of the world to take them off for a bit and get your lobby built back up then plug em on after a few games. If someone takes offense to that then we have bigger issues.

People complaining about lack of organization amongst the clan need to communicate about building their team in the forums. We had our 6 set up... even had text messages sent out. We are all adults in the military... don't see how it's that hard to organize. 4:15 rolled around we had our 6 practicing even practiced yesterday getting a game plan. You can't just hop on at 4:30 and expect to roll right into the op with a squad.

Anyways had a good time with Angels, Kraft, Batnob, BIGDING21, and Spyder we were capping shit like it was going out of style and had fun while doing it

For what little its worth I didn't see any of that in your post. This thread has been here for three days, and for the majority that's enough time to get a tentative plan together. Last minute things and the real world of course take precedence and are not always accommodating of our wants, but those are exceptions to the rule.

Yeah we had the same issue we had a clan that we worked over for a couple games and they just kept saying US MAH GUH ... regardless we had people leaving our lobbies pretty much constantly, lol that part was whack. The 4-5 idea would be good if we didn't have to deal with a random green arrow throwing a wrench into the whole equation

We were having this issue as well until a few of us changed our clan tag to something else. I hope this won't be shunned. It's just a little intimidating to enter a room with 6 guys all flying the same tag. So, Pak, would it be ok for future ops if we can't get a steady room of gamers, or can't get a game, if we change our tags to not all be the same??

I did show up late and was by myself for a game and spamme invites to those who I thought need a extra gun. I thank those who replied and let me know they were full and didn't get mad at me. We did end up with a 5 man squad that eventually dwindle to 3. But we worked great as a team waiting patiently for other teams to re. Cap then wasting them. Good times.

O.K. I have had a smoke and a chance to cool off. The problem I think was that I did not want to disturb people during the competition. If I saw people on and in Domination I just left them alone thinking they had a full team. A couple times I would jump into their lobby but as soon as I saw they were full I backed out. In hind sight...if i think your full because your in Domination..then you probably think I am full because I am in Domination.

Whatever you're saying it was or wasn't, the point is it never was a ONE TEAM show, it was for all. The post has been up for 3 days now, letting people know that we were enlisted to compete. Everyone who was interested and able to compete, was informed here, as well as on the Elite page. Several people posted that they were going to form up teams.

Not everyone can compete, so unless we make it mandatory...which goes against everything our clan was formed for....we never can expect full enrollment. Like Kant said, communication is kind of important. Talk to people here, send messages and invites to people on the clan page in-game, there are lots of ways to get set up.



Also, when you're looking for people, go through the list and look at game-type + specific maps. That will give you a pretty clear picture of who's doing what with whom.

I think a good way of finding a group if you aren't already in one is to set your beacon to show you need a team. I set mine to "USMG hit me up if you're not full". My problem was I only had about 20 of ya'll in my friends list and I knew that they were all full because there was 6 of them all in the same lobbies. I think the best way to do it is actually have all your clanmates as friends and set your beacon to show you need a team. That way if someone is in a group or solo and see's that someone lonewolf they can invite you. I only got into a group because I came on here and I knew that there had to be other stragglers out there looking for a team.

PS - I appreciate all the entertaining comments about my commander asking me to stay late. They made it not so bad when I was frantically searching for a group at the last min.

And then it was just me, so I joined a match already in progress and me and RicketyRob opposed a full USMG squad just as Clan Ops came to a close. I have to say, it sucked. I hate Core so much that I just can't play it. I get super frustrated. My anger management goes right out the window. Plus I recently prestiged so I didn't have the correct loadout for this type of game, and won't tomorrow either. This first Clan Op has left a bad taste in my mouth. And as far as teams go, always playing in the same squad is a bit unfair I think. Yea, your good, your mates are good, that's great. But it would be nice to spread that talent around and not have them all on one fuckin team. Some of us arent phenoms and do enjoy playing on a winning team. Just sayin

It can be frustrating but running with the same squad is something that helps... Not one of us is really that good outside of Angels and more we just are pretty solid cause we do play together all the time. But a lot of the fact that you hate core is just because we never really play it that much as a clan to be honest it takes some adjusting. Regardless of whether any of us want to admit it there is a separate between services to an extent we remain in our comfort zones because it's what we enjoy and I game to enjoy it not to stress it.

Finally got off my phone and to a computer. Here are a few of my take aways:

+Great teamwork and communication

-Clanmates playing other game types besides the Clan Op
-Getting to a flag seconds after it's captured
-Clanmates blindly jumping into games

Lemme preface this by saying this was our first time out and of course there are hiccups. I'll address a few starting with communication. Maybe we should count down in seconds as the capture bar progresses. This will save some guys trips to a flag and they can divert to another.

I see complaints of lack of room, beacons, etc. The beacon only pops up once you sign on. It won't work as a status unless I'm wrong. If you're full, maybe set your status to "Busy" as a clue to clanmates. As for lack of room, We had multiple people hop in and I thought to myself "If only they would get together" which is why, midgame, I posted via tapatalk that a few guys were looking for teammates in that thread that was created. This is the primary reason forum participation is stressed. Those set offline or playing a different gametype did you a disservice. It's our first time out and we'll work on this for tomorrow. For those that jumped in when we were full, you were asked to backout to prevent any look of impropriety. No hard feelings, guys.

Premium vs regular: I never said premiums should exclude regular members and I have a post here supporting that. In our lobby this was never brought up and I don't think anyone used that as a cover charge to the party they had.

Alot of complaints and confusion arise from the fact that alot of us don't truly understand how this works. I posted the Clan Ops FAQ. Only the top 6 premium scores in the entire clan are used to assign us a ranking and award. That's only 6 of us. While you ideally want to play with clanmates to easily achieve and objective, it isn't necessary. Your group of a few may be wasting time as you wait

Clan tags/Titles: There may have been confusion about my postings. If any of you have seen Generation Kill, you'll know that 1st Sgt Sixta always chewed them out and stressed the grooming standard in his country drawl. I was joking. No one was going to reprimand any of you for trying to find opponents easier as a group. I will say that IMO, it has no effect and alot of guys I've noticed do it halfway by changing your tag and not your title which is a giveaway lol. Your prestiges stacked on one team can also cause people to backout. My group tonight never changed it and yes some backed out but others stepped up to the challenge. I simply say do what suits your teamate the time and make the decision together. Believe me, we have common sense and know who wears what. That's not a big problem in the clan.

Kr8zyshoe: You couldn't have thought you'd get a pass. I'm gonna call you out since you want to call out guys in lobbies, play spoiler in a clan op and then post crap in the clan feed on Elite. You may have been on all day, but I wasn't and I hate having to state a goddamn alibi for my playing habits. If you look at the forums, you see I made a final post and locked the thread 30 minutes prior to the op. The minute I turned on my 360 I was hit with 2 invites and joined them promptly since I could care less about who I play with. Those 2 joined in and brought along other clanmates they had in their previous party. Hope that satisfies your investigation into my playing habits and allegations that you were excluded. That didn't mean you had to be counterproductive by blasting teammates as they captured flags or your subsequent actions. You could have used the forum to form up since others were posting at that time for teammates. Maybe this is what happens when you have 10 posts in almost 2 years. Maybe guys didn't wanna play with a guy who backs out leaving them high and dry in the middle of matches when their K/D goes south. Dunno. Just brainstorming. You said we have "all these requirements", you can stow that shit. What? We require you post in a forum to avoid situations like this? Yeah, that's bright. I can point you to a shitload of clans with K/D requirements, practice times, rank structures, and mandatory gamertag changes to incorporate their brand. Did we force you to be "USMGKr8zyshoe"? If we don't meet your expectations, then maybe we're not a good fit for you.

I know it sucks losing, but as I stated to alleviate the hurt: this isn't about wins. I get what you're saying, but we have to look at the bigger picture. I had a shitty K/D on the day. I hate going negative with excessive deaths as I did, but it was necessary. I also warned against prestiging prior to this event.

Got in a group for the full 3 had a fun time some fishy stuff going on but it was fun we did alright but had a team of stalkers fallowing us every match we went too, we would win but they would sit and get 45 to 50 kills on us we managed to shake them after taking a short break to get put in a different match. Just like today i'll be on 30 minutes before so I always send out invites, Pakman3000 made a good point about putting busy on status if you have a 6 man team already so I will do that. So tomorrow if you got a spot empty or looking to join a team message me i'm game.

The beacon only pops up once you sign on. It won't work as a status unless I'm wrong.

I guess I can't be positive since I don't see whats on everyone else's screen, but you can update your beacon anytime you want. All you have to do is go to your beacon settings and hit "update" and it should broadcast whatever you have it set to say. Each time I did it today it flashed that my beacon was updated then told me how many of my "friends wanted friends to play MW3".

I can try it tomorrow to see if it works the way I think it does.

Clan ops only occur on certain days at certain times for certain game types. I'm not sure Alaskas time zone but if you can convert it from the times posted. Or you could check out the call of duty web page and click the Compete tab and scroll through the operations for more details

I know it sucks losing, but as I stated to alleviate the hurt: this isn't about wins. I get what you're saying, but we have to look at the bigger picture. I had a shitty K/D on the day. I hate going negative with excessive deaths as I did, but it was necessary. I also warned against prestiging prior to this event.
Yeah absolutely. I sacrificed my body a lot for captures on the night. My kd ratio definitely dropped but its all about getting capped and capping back.

I'm looking at elite and went through the winning teams games they played no one has that many captures and now all the clan members on that team are at level 0, I think they got caught.

I was looking that up (the ranking)and suddenly it stopped loading, I saw somewhere about some hacking and I know they are researching any booster/cheating before giving out experience

Absolutely bro. I think other clans were boosting obviously the whole time. How do you get 3500 caps in 3 hours? Quite Rediculous Lmao but it was a blast. Playing for a reason makes the game much more interesting and today its all about the killllllllllllz

To be clear, I wasn't trying to blame or flame on anyone earlier, I was more irritated with my overall gameplay and people leaving unannounced. I screwed myself by Prestiging. And I guess I missed that post by Pak warning against it. I was just pissed we were losing every match. No big deal. Next Op will be better. Congrats to the top 6! At least we got ours LEGIT

Also I noticed we kept getting side tracked wanting to win. Some of our guys were defending flags, which meant less captures. I just kept going in a circle and avoiding getting attention so I can sneak in and get the capture. Still only got 68 though. It's like pak said before the ops, pick your fight and own on a lesser opposition.

All in all it was fun. Wish I could do it again today and tomorrow, but got volunteered to deliver a cabinet someone ordered at our quilt store and tomorrow football practice.

Yea, I knew that was BS from that crew. So I wasn't surprised when they started opening up on us on the flags. No big deal. I'll be getting off work at 7 and have some stuff to do with River so I'll be late to the Op today, which means I'll be going solo probably! lol

Nice team work by everyone that played. The Clan placed in the top 90-99.99999% for Gold to receive 1000 Clan XP with a Total of 799 captures by the top 6 people. Unfortunately, it will not load to tell you exactly where we placed. The top clan had 3556 captures between their top six players, although something seems honky dory about it since their top player was supposedly making almost 18 captures a minute...

He must have been sprinting around and getting to each flag just as it was being captured. Even then though, that would require that he be able to make it from catching the end of one flag to the next flag in about 3 seconds to catch the end of the next one.

I wonder if he may have brought another person online split screen and the second player's captures counted towards his by accident... Even then it is highly unlikely, but that is the only way I can see it even being possible.
It would take perfect timing constantly for both players to run around the map flag to flag with 1 person from their team starting to capture each flag separately at the perfect moment to where it would allow the 2 players to arrive just before the flag was actually captured. The 2 players would have to have SMGs to run faster and Marathon Pro to sprint forever. They would have to do it perfectly in a rotation for it to work, but that is the only way I could see someone possibly getting that many in 3 hours.

Not to mention he could never die or that would throw off the time too. its pretty obvious that they cheated. I don't see how anyone could have gotten 300 without cheating our at least having massive help from his clanmates.
