I have X41's and i can hear everything but i can't talk. I looked it up on the net and it said it might be the talk back cable but before i go out and buy one just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem and can give me some advice before i find out the hard way that this is not the problem.

I have not ran into any issues, try installing it again to you tv and console and see if that helps.
Turn the headset on First and then plug in the talk back thing in the controller and turn on then power up ur receiver. That should work.

Yeah when I had beaches I went thru like 3-4 of those damn Mic cables and it got so damn old. Their equipment is so unreliable.

I have the x12 im cheap. But I can only hear out the left side. The wires in the head sets are very fragile.
