I am currently making many lifestyle changes and one of them is quitting my habit of Copenhagen. So if i seem a little grouchy in the next couple weeks that is why. I caught myself being very angry last night in the very first game I played so I thought i would post this just so its out there. So if i come across as an asshole its just the withdrawls so i apologize but hopefully it'll be short lived.

Or, you're just an asshole, so it's all good.

Quitting anything is difficult, so congrats on stepping up, and good luck bud.

yea its hard. I have slowed down significantly in the last week in a half but not quite there to being done completely. I've gone from almost a can a day to using it once maybe twice a day.

Keep it going bro it sounds like your doing great... once you make it past the 2 week mark you are home free up until about the 3 month mark and then the psychological effects will begin to kick in....

Thanks man I'll get there in time. If I didn't have a wife and kids I would probably just quit cold turkey and deal with all the problems that come but I don't want to get frustrated with them too easily so I'm trying this route

Good job bro... Just remember not to get down on your self if you slip up...it's completely normal... I quit 2 times before it stuck... after this first time I quit quitting... then I quit again.:p

+1 to this. I quit smoking the day before 9-11. After the plane hit the pentagon I felt my world spinning and luckily (depending on how you see it) my partner at work was a smoker and I borrowed one. They evacuated us until further notice and on my way home I bought a pack and started up again. It wasn't until July 2nd 2002 when I found out I was pregnant that I finally gave them up for good. My outlook on life at that point was that it was no longer my life to do with what I wanted. I had to be healthy for my kids. Mind over matter can really work wonders, but nobody is going to fault you for slipping up in times of high stress. I tried quitting 6 times total and all that matters is I was finally able to do it with incentive. You can do it too. You just need to give yourself the right incentive. A reason that surpasses everything else that you can fall back on to help you through tough times. I have faith you'll get it done. Hope your daughter is doing better.

thanks for all the support im trying to quit without my wife knowing just to see how long it takes her to realize im not doing it anymore just out of curiosity to see how much it actually bothers her that i do it. So there is no support from her since she doesn't know im trying lol. My daughter is doing fine they want to keep her in the hospital till Thursday though for observation:(

I have been going threw some SERIOUS withdrawals the past week. I talked to the Doc's and decided to go off my Paxil that I have been on for about 13years. The Ole Lady wants me to go back on them cause my fuse is really short. I refuse to go back on that shit though. The dipping part.... Try Smokey Mountain its a NON tobacco dip. I have had people tell me about it but, I just don't want to quit... Yet that is. I have dipped for 25yrs now. Good luck with your journey though. You have made a wise decision to quit.

Rocky Mountain Oysters will help you kick any habit. At least that's what I've been told.
