There should be a new rule implemented on joining people games in progress. So many times we have been in a game when members of our clan join and throw a wrench into everything. Just a suggestion but it pisses me off when clan mates enjoy ruining others good games.

I don't think they enjoy ruining games to be specific (tho we do have a troll or two in our clan, everyone does lol) but I think it's fun to know you can join the team opposite of your clan and destroy your clan. it being right or sportsmanLike remains to be seen lol but you know. Plus, I personally know I get frustrated when I can't get anyone to answer my invites, sometimes I can't do well at all without a few clan members' ingame commentary. I've been known to joIn a game or two because of it, but I've always been torn apart when I've been on the other team lol

Whether or not it's frustrating if people want to join thats what the message system is for. It's not a good thing to be destroyed by teammates or to destroy the USMG squad. It's out of respect and people will look down on our clan that we can't control it and people just have free roam to ruin the game. Plus it makes it even harder to hold a game down when we have 6 USMG clan tags let alone 8-10.

It doesn't really bother me. I enjoy playing regardless of who I play with or against. Though it is annoying at times when your playing KC or DOM, but there's an easy solution to this. As Pak states before we start a match off, turn your online status to offline. This way you can have an "almost" guarantee that no other member will join your game session. BOOM! Solution fixed...hahaha

I'm glad someone else is finally fed up with this. It is not cool at all to simply jump in someone's room. Other clans even kick people out for these shenanigans. Monitor clan feeds on Elite, I'm not kidding. Here are just a few problems it presents:
1. You cheapen the win. How does it look to the opposing team if we have a "7th man" on the opposite team getting blown to bits?
2. You have no clue what kind of lobby you stepped into. We could be getting called all types of names or in a highly competitive lobby and there you go making us look bad by killing your own.
3. Jumping in saying "pick me up" means guys have to back out of what could have been a great lobby.
Sadly, others are starting to see the effects of this since everyone is setting themselves offline to prevent it. I make it a point to instruct guys in my party to set themselves offline. Going forward, even if we have 5 guys and you jump in, I won't invite you out of principle. If you hop in midgame, even if we're winning 60-10, I'll back my entire lobby out and penalize everyone for the actions of 1.
Use the messaging system. If you don't get an invite, that means we're busy in a game or we're full.

I am certainly willing to abide by these terms... I'll be sending private messages when I see a bunch of guys on..... I hope at some point we can get to where we don't need to set ourselves offline.

I agree Pak. It's one of them things its disrespectful. The messaging system is fully-operational and the beacons mislead a lot of people I'm not trying to be mean but just cause I log into MW3 and it says I want to play I really don't. If I wanna join or have people in my lobby I send invites. No disrespect to the seasoned vets of the clan, this is more or less for the newer folks that think its "fun" to jump in a perfectly good lobby and ruin a lot of peoples good time and K/D cause they know where we like to chill.
Pak... is there anyways we can get this added to the clan charter?

Not trying to upset people just get frustrated when someone hops in the match running around with a damn SMAW from our clan laughing around like a hysterical idiot fucking everyone's shit up. The people who do this all the time know who you are and I will find you and Sparta kick you in the face! Then I'll smoke a blunt...

Negative. We're all adults and can hash things out here. If it's a rule, I have to enforce it and this doesn't warrant that type of scrutiny.....yet lol.

I understand just hoping it starts to die off a little bit.
Well I will start and apologize first. I am probably one of many that was just joining games of members online. I did stop prior to this post cause I was in a few groups and heard others complain about it and I truly didn't want to be that guy. Plus I can say I have seen Pak rage quit because of this issue. (not my fault that round)
But on a side note I know that there some members that have a longer personal connections or play better with others always seem to play together. So with newer members trying to integrate into the older clan members what easier way than to hit the join game button on the clan members page. Just a observation and bad excuse.
Your 100 percent right, people should ask if there is room in groups. I have seen the error in my ways, as I am still learning since I haven't really grouped play first person shooters in a decade, being playing solo randomly mostly, until here.

I understand your point that you make and that a clan divided is a clan that will surely fail. But the games are what its all about really. If any new member wants to hook up with an already running group they just have to wait their turn. Send a msg. Wait for the invite or start their own party. There's a list of every clan member online, what they are doing and usually you can tell who's running together fairly easily. Communication is critical is all we are stressing. Makes us look weak when we have a lone clan member getting destroyed or even worse destroying his fellow clan members and winning which is what we want to ultimately avoid. I understand we aren't a competitive clan but that doesn't mean we should take a loss voluntarily or from someone's tirade all over the clan members.

Unless we are doing Clan Ops it really does not bother me. The people who tend to jump into my games do not affect how I play the game or my overall K/D of that game most of the time. Once back in the lobby I either back out and pick them up or if we had fun keep playing that way. However, it is a valid point about jumping into a game and not knowing the atmosphere of the lobby. That is the only reason I have not done this in months. I have been called a Baby Killer a few times lately and if one of you had joined and been on that team I would probably have flipped out.
All that being said...the above quoted sections are also out of line in my opinion. We are supposed to be a clan and unless I am wrong we are also more then that. So why would it be OK for you to keep running a 4 or 5 man group and leave a buddy to lone wolf? There are valid reasons to run 5 (matchmaking) but if the only reason is because it is a good lobby that you did not want to leave...that just seems wrong to me.
Setting yourself to offline while playing mw3 with clan members is not a real solution in my opinion. If you want to play solo or even play other games while showing offline that is different. Plenty of times I have logged on and seen that only one or two people were playing even though I know others are on. Sometimes I play lone wolf..sometimes I just get off. Now if you were showing online and I sent you a message I would know you were full and I would just wait till a spot opened up. By showing offline though I have no clue others are even on. For new members especially this is bad. It makes us look like we are an inactive clan or an elitist group who do not like new people. The very things that I know we are not. We all just need to be big boys and girls and use the tools provided to us in a way that work without sacrificing our standards.

Usually you can tell how many people are in a lobby by looking at the clan page and noticing how many people are playing the same mode on the same map. Then you can ask for an invite from that particular group without wasting their time asking for invites from a full lobby. Usually I'll just send one person a invite to party, and they know I'm just asking for an invite so they'll send me one later.

When I hit "Join Game" and it puts me on the other team, I quickly back out and play alone while waiting for an invite or try to join another lobby.

This is also what I would do... but I just hit the invite button and play another game while waiting for an invite.....
I usually go lone wolf until someone needs another guy for their group and invites me. I would like to join more clan parties, but I know pestering people by beating them with randoms is upsetting. I am a cannon fodder support player anyways. I always scan for who seems alone when I do join a group to keep the party leader updated on possible additions to a squad. It worked good yesterday. I wish the elite clan friends page would group players in an outline form so you know whose partied up and maybe party vs party or compare scoring per game. There are lots of simple programming the game could have, I saw the grouping in a game a few years back(maybe more I'm getting old).

I pepper people with invites and wait until they invite me. If they don't then they're obviously full and I'll play solo until I find something else or someone leaves.

Most of us generally roll together in many different games types but many times if someone rolls into a lobby blindly and we are in a competitive match do we really want our own clan mates giving the edge to the enemy. We are not an elitist clan or group of people we are the United States Military former, active, or guard. Communication is what makes us better then any other damn military in the world why is so hard for people to message someone and say, "Hey when your done if you have room pick me up... if not thats cool too" We have a clan of almost 100 members, I'd say about 40-50 are pretty active so telling me that you are having a hard time getting into a legit team of 4-6 is hard to believe. We seem to get 7 all the time. Ground War is a major pain in the ass trying to get into a match. I know that many of us are considered to be a click blah blah. But the fact of the matter is if I want to game with the same relative group of people cause I enjoy myself when we play as a effective squad then is that wrong? I don't like losing and many people could careless. Not because it affects my win to loss ratio but because I'm a God damn American.
Setting ourselves offline is just one way to avoid getting 100 invites. It's not the freakin' good ol' boy club. The only time clan mates should face each other is inter-clan tournaments or if the whole lobby says that what is happening is fine. You can argue ethics about the issue all you want but nonetheless it doesn't help the clan in anyway if people just hop into the lobby.
I original wanted this to get brought up and instituted as a rule. I just want people to more considerate of their fellow clan mates is all. I know that it's impossible to implement something along these lines but respecting each other's lobbies is what's going to get you put in the parties not hopping in hoping for a homie hook-up.
I would have to agree with most everything being said here. I can see both sides arguments make valid points. I don't like it when people join the lobby I'm in, but sometimes when I get on and none of my usuals are on I hope to get invites. I know I don't always take them, and that's because I'm just not feeling HC, but I need to get over it cuz that's what most of you guys play.
I don't think you should have to hide by putting yourself offline or turning your notifications off just so random mates don't join. I would have to agree with what was said earlier, you inhibit yourself from playing with new guys and new guys playing with you. But it makes sense to do it because of other things stated earlier.
Suggested ways of dealing.
1. Just sit there staring at your create a class screen and hope for an invite <~~ me in the mornings
2. Send out invites to those who don't appear to be rolling 6
3. Just say f-it and roll by yourself and maybe an invite will show up sooner rather then later
4. This line is just here to make me look smart and finally have a decent sized post for once. Muah ha ha ha!!

The answer to this just seems too simple to me. There's a lot of talk and explaining that I feel is unnecessary. Let's just set some unofficial ground rules. If you log into the game and see some folks grouped up and it doesn't appear as though they have 6 ask for an invite (either send them an invite and they'll send one back if they have room, or send them a freaking message asking them to add you if they have room).
I've never been ignored if I was courteous and asked for an invite, if they're full they'll say so and they'll send an invite once someone leaves.
Simple, period. Don't just join someone else's game unless its someone you know well and they aren't in a group.

Yeah it's pretty simple, I either invite or get invited, I don't cold join, it's like going into someone's house, I don't barge in I knock or they invite me in.
