HUGE patch

It's 00:30 and I thought I would fire up BF3 while my Son is sleeping. I'm met with a 1.070Gb patch download for 1.04. Guess I should read the notes as I'm sure something has changed.

WTF!?! It forces to to re-download the 1.326Gb B2k expansion after that big patch! Roughly 2.4Gb download to get the patch running.

So far, rent a server, my servers and matches all have zero content. Will be a nice feature.

Plenty of errors "the joined game is running an incompatible version. Please ensure that you have updated to the latest version and try again" in the server browser. Matchmaking fails at this point but I'm early after the patch.

No more problems but I have to say, I don't like the patch. Recoil is all over the place, hip fire is atrocious, aircraft dominate now.... I could go on. Hell of a lot more destruction now. Graphics are better. No more 3 second black screen when spawning.

No, I think if I remember correctly PS3 got the update first the 27th or something and PC/xBox got it "at a later date". Man I can't wait for that USAS to be nerfed.

I've only played the assault weapons so far and the M4A1. It's definitely all about ADS with them.

IMO they screwed up BF3 with this patch. I can't kill shit now without using a whole clip! They went overboard with increasing recoil on ALL weapons. From what I've seen on BF3 forums I'm not the only one that is having the same problems and it looks like some people are so pissed they went to other games. I also don't like how you can now buy ALL the unlocks. I spent a ton of time getting the unlocks and now you can just buy them that is bullshit! Looks like all the noobs will be running with the USAS with explosive rounds!! They didn't fix the MAV elevator glitch, within hours of the patch being released people were already reporting that glitchers found a work around and can still use it as an elevator by just laying prone on it or something like that. They also found another glitch that keeps the MAV from being destroyed after killing someone. If they can't fix the MAV take it out of the game IMO, screw those cheaters! So IMO they didn't fix anything they just fucked it all up! This patch may have me going back to MAG!
