New Favorite Weapon

So I've been in the mix to learn to be a sniper and lets just say I had a blast playing with the MSR last night. I didn't get a lot of kills but I did manage to pull a higher kill count than death count. I watched a few videos on you tube yesterday and found out that you don't need to have the center point of your cross hairs while in scope mode to actually shoot someone. I did what the person on the video did and actually had fun playing with it. Right now I'm running slight of hand, quick draw, and marksman, being that i'm just starting off with the weapon. I'm also using kick and a silencer, cause I just leveled my weapon to get them. For you snipers on here. What do you think would be the best set up for a sniper class? I'm thinking I'm going to take the route of being a sniper for my 5th prestige. No matter how frustrating its going to be i'm going to try something new. Oh by the way, quick scope is a whole lot tougher than the videos I seen.

MSR or L11 are probably your best bet for movement and still get a one shot kill. As far as perks, your running what I run but you could always go steady sim for those epic no scope in your face kills. I wouldn't recommend a silencer unless it's for HC, then by all means kill silently. You may want to try an ACOG for running around like a boss instead of camping like a boss. This is just my 2 cents worth.

I'll set up two classes than. One with a regular scope and one with a ACOG. Also, what do you think of the varialbe scope. I'm a long way to get it but it looks like something that can help do me some good in the future. By the way, I love the one shot kill. Especially in regular core matches.

On core, I prefer the Barrett .50 cal (or AS50), because they're one-hit kills in the head or torso. On HC, I use the RSASS, because its a one-hit kill and has a 20-rd clip. Im just not accurately enough so I need follow-up shots a lot of the time.

If you are playing hardcore give the Dragnuv a try. I know it's typically a gun that your like WTF am I gonna do with this but on HC I love it. It's the perfect sniper rifle. Long scope and zero kick.

i just started using the barrett .50 cal and I have to say for someone like me who runs and guns it is weird how well u can do just sitting there lol. but i'm also the impaitent guy who hates sitting in one place forever

I agree with the impatient part. I like to run and gun but sitting there waiting for someone to come to you takes the fun out of playing. I just need to learn to quick scope and stop the complaining...hahaha!
