Just wondering if anyone has checked the Gunnar Opticks gaming glasses out. I know they sound like a scam.... But the reviews have been amazing! They are made by the designer from Oakley. I have a pair on order and I'll let you know what I think.
Check em out at. Gunnars.com

Interesting. I wonder how they work out compared to regular "computer glasses" you can pick up at any old drug store?

You should check out the website they've got a couple of videos about the special lens technology. Supposedly they
make you a better mw3 player ;)

I bought a pair at Best Buy about two weeks ago. While the yellow lenses take a bit of adjusting too, I noticed a reduction in the headaches I usually get when I play for long periods of time

Awesome but my question is do you get hit on when you're wearing em?

Honestly I don't see the point in wearing them outside unless maybe you were going to the range

Sure he does. I bet his wife hits on him all night while he's gaming and wearing them.

Actually I think they are the same thing. Just not as "cool," or l33t. Or you could get range glasses. :)

Supposedly they have some l33t lens technology.... I'll let you know in 3days.

There's a guy here at my work who has a pair. I looked at a comp screen with them and I can attest that they are legit. Less eye strain and no glare.

Yeah i have owned a couple pairs of Gunnars. They are awesome if you stare at comps or monitors all day. They reduce the ambient light that is projected off the monitor and reduces the drying sensation of your eyes and they kept me from getting headaches.

My wife got me a pair for Christmas, and I really like them. They definitely reduce the number of headaches I get if I am doing a marathon gaming session.

As far as getting hit on while wearing them, my wife affectionately calls COD the best birth control ever invented, so I guess that is a "no".

So do any of you still wear these? And do they help see the screen better and improve your experience?

I have them, and they do shit for me!! Lol!! I may sell them on eBay, total gimmick in my opinion!! Save your money for a good headset instead, that will improve your game!!

I have used them a few times. I borrowed them. They seemed to help some, but not in every game. I have bad eyes anyhow, plus the older age factor, so it sometimes takes a moment for things to adjust for me. This is also a reason FPS on the big screen makes me nauseous. Racing Sims are fine on the big screen, but for everything else I play on either the 32in or the BenQ RL2450HM MLG Gaming Monitor. The 24in BenQ is very easy on the eyes. I think it is 12million to 1 contrast with a 1ms response. Again faster response to help the aging slow reflexes. If you have never used the lower response time monitors I would say try it and see the difference for yourself

Yeah, I do agree with you on the monitor. I use Asus 23" MLG gaming monitor. Same thing one mili sec response time. Age is a factor for me too being 40, but with age comes common sense. Gunnar glasses due nothing to improve your vision. If your eyes are bad just get prescription glasses. I have glasses but only put them on when I start struggling to see shit in game. Usually I'm good though. For me it was better to get prescription glasses for free with insurance to help me play better rather than spending $80 on Gunnar Optiks!! But if anyone really wants them I'll sell you mine!! Lol!!
