Does anyone have any project vehicles they are working on or want to start.

I've got a 94' Landcruiser that I want to make into an expedition rig.

I had an 85' GMC Sierra I was going to lift and deck out, but money didn't allow it. I actually just had to sell it...:(
So until I can get another project going, I have been helping my father-inlaw on his 53' Chevy truck, and my buddies 65' Ford Fairlane.

I have very large expectation for my LandCruiser. It's amazing just how many aftermarket parts companies there are for it. I Can't afford a Mercedes G Wagon so this LC will have to do. I'm going to invest in the suspension first, then once the engine goes I might swap it to a diesel for better fuel mileage. I have friends and family that do some wheeling from time to time. I still need to keep it tame and road worthy. If I brake it then I am busing it. The wife will be driving our over vehicle. So needless to say I'm trying to start a fund to buy another vehicle so I have back up when I need to pull the engine and either fix or replace.

Did you take any pics of your Sierra?

One of our salesmen at work had a decked out LC, and it was SHARP!

Here is the last pic I took of it. I sold it about a year ago, and it only had 120K on the body, and 23K on the 350 crate motor. I miss it....:(

Funny, i had an 84' Chevy K2500. I had to get rid of too. I loved that truck, had a nice 350 and limited slip rear end. Never got stuck. Did the 85 have the four vertical head lamps like the 84?

No mine didn't have the four lights, but I do prefer those. My wife wanted a short bed when I bought this one, so hopefully I can find one once money becomes available. I really want a new F250 crew deisel, which the wife approved, but I just cant justify the cost since I dont tow/haul enough to NEED it.

I have 3 right now 1 is a 73 Nova 2 is a 72 super beetle and then a 300ZX twin turbo that is my track car.

Lol, good luck on a short bed. Going to be hard to find. I've always wanted a late 60's / early 70's K5 blazer or 4x4 truck. I turned one down and havn't seen affordable since.

I'd love to have anyone of those for a project car. My track car would be a 1991 325is BMW however. I'm about as lickly to find one of those as I'm going to find an early 70's k5 blazer.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find a good early 80's short bed project truck. Around here in IL, they are all rusted to shit, and the decent ones are WAY overpriced. :(
