i need to throw this out and see if anyone has seen this..
we got brand new Government dell latitudes 6420's.... we were supposed to get 6520's but the money was about to expire and the made a rush decision and bought these instead... when we got this they had some werid stuff... anyone hear about a new advanced hard drive format called 512?? it had a peice of paper with them.. also the came with 250gb Momentus thin hard drive.. i pulled it out and yes it is about half the thickness but a full 2.5 size..hmm ok .. well they came with AGM(army gold master) preinstalled with vista enterprise.. but we have to wipe them and install a tier I disk with each of our STAMIS's that run XP.. but as we boot we find something else.. this one baffled me .. it would let us install the os.. or any other of the self OS... after looking through the bios .. i found they were defaulted on a RAID.... whaaa?? it only had a single hd?? ive never seen a laptop with Raid settings in the Bios?? but once i turned it off they work great and will load anything i throw at them.. anyone else seen this crazy.. im trying to research and find out what the heck but i figured id ask here with all the tech guys we have..
