my buddy's been bugging me to DL the trial and after he told me he killed a guy by sniping a grenade on his belt... I had to comply. still haven't tried it though haha but IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS!!!

I played the trial on Steam. I had the same thing happen. I was not aiming for it, but the man was running and the round hit the grenade on his belt. He went boom.... I LOL'ed

I played around with the demo some, and it's very likely that I'll be picking this up for xbox. The kill-cam's were pretty damn awesome, and I was able to pull off 3 grenade shots in the demo...2 of them on purpose, lol.

If you pulled off 2 on purpose I suppose you were playing cadet mode. Sounds like you need to step up the challenge to sniper elite mode and actually have to aim at people. I can say this game plays pretty dang good. Today playing I also got a grenade shot; however, it was completely on accident. If you pulled off 2 on purpose I suppose you were playing cadet mode. Sounds like you need to step up the challenge to sniper elite mode and actually have to aim at people. I can say this game plays pretty dang good. Today playing I also got a grenade shot; however, it was completely on accident. I was going for a 2 for 1 when the tumbling bullet hit the second nazi's grenade. Still did not give me remote detonation just the 2 for 1 kill.
It was Marksman mode, actually, which does make you actually have to aim at people. But I suppose that's kind of besides the point you were condescendingly trying to make. That being said, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!
6 remote explosions. 3 in the first section, 2 at standing targets, perfects shots. One was a bit more of a luck shot as the dude was running to cover. 1 around the corner in the next section. Another immediately after the ammo point...the guys you can't get to from inside the building, though I did get him point blank as he was charging me. The third section, while planting the explosives, didn't have anything resembling a shot, so I took them both out And 1 after killing Herr Doktor. I did get a 7th, but I didnt' count it because it was the guy sleeping on the chair, so that's kind of cheating...but funny as hell. Talk about a wake-up.
And in the spirit of full disclosure, a couple of them were guys I double-tapped. Shot once, winged him and getting him to stop, shot again for explosion. I did have to reset checkpoints a couple of times when I got mildly fucked up trying to line up more shots, as well. Not many x-ray shots, except against those three counter-snipers, because I was making it a point of aiming towards the grenade....but most of the ones that I missed the grenade, I did get a vital kill in the legs. And twice in the groin. My aim was a little off.

Very nice, very nice indeed. I noticed that while playing the demo repeatedly trying to find new things that the first sniper will sometimes change locations if you restart the match as soon as you kill him.

Grabbed the demo for xbox as well, and my pre-order will be fulfilled on this one. Looks like a damn fun time, lol. And who wouldn't enjoy killing Hitler?
Oh, remote grenades is cool, but lining up a 2 for 1 is just as cool. Even cooler are the accidental ones, lol.

Going to pick it up tomorrow when I go visit my daughter. Probably won't play it until next week though. We'll see.
Oh man, I finished it last night around 12:30 SUPER FUN! And you can play the story as a two-person co-op sniper team. I'm gonna start going back and searching for all the bottles now. I wish I would've pre-ordered so I could fuck Hitler in his face! Lol
My only gripe is that the graphics could be smoother. Nowadays sketchy, grainy visuals aren't acceptable to the hardcore gamer. It's like watching a Blu-ray and then popping in a VCR tape. I was constantly thinking I saw "scope glint" when it was actually the environment glitching. Other than that, pure awesomeness.

The first time you get an x-ray kill, it's worth every penny.
I'll be hanging on to this game for quite a while for just that reason.

I only saw the one. Try to record an x-ray shot. Some of those are brutal.
I kind of wish I had a recording rig set up for my xbox because of this game. Some of these shots are utterly awesome and amazing to watch. The perfect shot through the ear canal, the eye-shot, I had a 2 for 1 that ended up being 1 for 1, when the bullet reflected off the second guy's helmet....
My favorite thus far though, was on the...4th mission I think it is, when you have to set the bombs and blow up the bridge with the tank on it. I was on my way to the exfil point, and popped a sniper. I swear to god the slo-mo playthrough makes it look like I shot through the guys scope. I was aiming for an eye shot on his rifle side, saw the metal on metal spark....the one you see right before a grenade shot blows up, and then had a perfect eye-socket impact. Was awesome.

Still don't have the game, but still play the demo. Noticed the other day I shot a guy who was shooting at me and got a remote detonation but the bullet I shot looked like it went in the barrel of his gun. If this is actually what happened I would love to see it again.
I'm gonna do an X-ray montage, it's gonna be SICK!

Steel and I were playing some co-op, and it was pretty fucking awesome. The slo-mo kills and x-ray shit still show up, but it's sped up so that it doesn't affect the other person's game. Out of the three specific multiplayer game-modes, I think we decided that Kill Tally was the best, followed by Bombing Run, and Overwatch was kind of bleh. We both were calling out some awesome fucking shots, and it was hilarious to see someone get toasted right as you were lining up on him. We had a couple of pretty awesome team moments too, where one of us would draw fire and the other would toast some shit. Best shot of the night, I thought, was the final one of the Kill Tally match.....dude was all the way across the map with a Panzerfaust....think old-school RPG.....he's tracking Steel who's running away from him, and I line up and snipe the rocket dead on the nose. We see a deformed bullet fly away and the rocket explode right in the dude's face. Was epic.
All in all, it was just one of those "instant gratification, fun" multiplayer matches.

Absolute most fun I've had playing a game since BF:BC2. Just fuckin epic shots man, some of those were one in a million!

I think I did this last night, and I'm not sure, but I swear I shot one right thru the other snipers rifle barrel, that's what the x-ray looked like. Wish I recorded that one...

Finch and I were talking about that yesterday. We both swore one of our final kills in Kill Tally was, and I had a shot during the museum mission that I swear was through the scope. It was a perfect eyeball hit while he was aiming, and you could even see the glint of metal from the bullet impacting something before it entered his eye.

Finally had a break in work long enough to go get me a copy of sniper elite and my BO2 poster. As soon as I put the game in I selected elite and started playing and was a little surprised. I figured they would have fix the narrator glitch when the screen loads. Still I trecked on and found the part that the demo allows you to play through and then there was a rocket camp. Well holy shit. I figured a sniper game was suppose to be about one shot kills and shoot, kill, confirm, relocate and repeat. Well I'm pretty sure that this mission is not possible to complete with out getting spotted by apparently no one that alerts the base to your arrival. After trying to not get caught for about and hour or two I stopped ( to return the next day) playing single player and decided to play some multiplayer. Put it on elite mode and picked random kill tally map. Game starts, I die. lol. After playing for a while I realized that either the people on multiplayer suck and have a mic or opposite.
All in all, I like this game. I know from above it doesn't seem like it but a few expectations not being met still don't add up to the ability to shoot nazi's heads and not only shoot their heads but to see the bullet enter the skull, shatter it, sludge through brain matter, exit skull tumbling and then smash the guy behind him ribcage and explode his heart. Amazing. And multiplayer just seems like I need to be on with a friend. Now its time to go watch some montage.

For mp you need to play with myself, steelhavok or jxspyder. Guarantee you will have a different experience.
Yeah, headshots and organs exploding are all well and good. Even got a guy in the kidney once. But nothing compares to the ball shot. Yeah, x-rayd balls exploding with penetrated with a bullet. More epic than everything that is Sniper Elite v2. Just need to get down on some co-op next.

With the rocket facility, it is possible to do the whole level without being spotted, or raising an alarm. At least until the cinematic of you being spotted and when you blow it up.

I tried pretty dang hard but I couldn't do it. I don't know if it was the fact about being on elite mode and some dude from a mile away seeing me or not but I finally just said screw it and went acog on everyone.

Naw, it's just very, very slow and meticulous. And every shot has to be during a speaker announcement.

Completed a cool A$$ shot. It in the level right after blowing up the V2 rocket factory, then while I was saving the scientist from the Russians, I hit a grenade on one of there belts and blew the majority of the initial onslaught up in one bullet(pure luck and accident). Received a achievement of remote denotation.

lol yeah I watched Yatzee's review on it when it came out last week and I was pretty surprised at how positive his review was. Positive for him anyways. He didn't rip the game to shreds in the review, and that's saying something lol

He's 13, so I'm okay with him having it. So long as whatever games he plays do not reference drugs or sex, that's fine by me. He understands what's right and what isn't.
BTW, I should have mentioned that he got this on the PS3 side. I tried to convince him to get it for the Xbox, but he's got his own PS3 system, so that argument got me nowhere. LOL.

Free Sniper Elite V2 DLC Brings Multiplayer
Sniper Elite V2 is getting added multiplayer support in the form of free DLC for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The news comes from Sniper Elite's official message boards. The DLC will be available later this year and will include Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, Team Distance King, and Distance King modes.
