My name is Sam Messe and I'm the Los Angeles producer for Area 5 Media based out of San Francisco. Area 5 works with Activision in the production of the Roll Call show for Elite TV.

You are being considered for an upcoming episode of Roll Call as a subject for the Noob episode. The concept of the episode is taking a new and/or developing player for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 who needs work on their game. The episode will show a before and after of the player after some time with a mentor who will work on their playing style and approach to the game.

As I begin this casting process, I need some more basic information from you to develop a picture of you, both in day to day life and as a Call of Duty player.

I spend my day different from most. I’m retired from the Army and married to an Active duty service member, so I don’t work. I’m currently a junior at UNCC and have a Technology degree. When not at class, I hold down the fort and chase a couple of kids around, too. The wife and I also have rental property we tend to and hope to develop them into a small business around the FT Bragg area. I also dabble in CNC programming and 3D blueprint rendering.
What commitments do you have in the next couple months?

I’m wide open in the schedule department. All my classes are online this semester. My wife, Sara, can take leave and support this all the way. She’s a huge fan of Elite and is stoked I got this far.
Describe your personality in 3 sentences.

I’ve never been uncomfortable around crowds or strangers (exception: Iraq)
My attitude is positive and contagious
I make friends easily and contribute to the dynamic
Describe your background in video games (favorite systems, games, etc.

Glad this wasn’t the 3 sentence question…I’ve been a gamer since the early 80’s. My Mom and Dad played 2600’s, so we started early. I’ve owned (or currently have) all the major consoles and some odd ones as well. Hell, I’ve had them all. My favorite system all-time? I’d say the NEO-GEO, because the rich kids in my neighborhood didn’t have one. I slaved washing cars for a whole summer for that one. Love the Dreamcast. Current console choice is the 360. As far as games go, cheesy as this sounds MW3 is my shit. It’s everything a veteran needs to work out his PTSD. My heart belongs to any and every game with Mario (besides the RPG stuff). 2D Mario (Super Mario 3) is hard to beat.

How long have you been an Elite TV member?

I’ve watched since inception. I preordered MW3 and Elite, so I’m founder/premium.
How often do you play Modern Warfare 3? (weekly, daily)

I can’t really say for sure, but I play everyday a couple hours at least. There’s been those 15 hour binges, I admit. I’m on Elite daily, trolling around
What is your biggest strength playing Modern Warfare 3?

I have an advantage in MW3 because of my clan, USMG (level 31 monsters!) and we work off each others strengths. Since I’ve not found my stride, I run support for our top tier guys during the clan operations. Strength wise, I’d say my ability to communicate locations accurately and use explosives. Deadly accurate with the Semtex.
What is your biggest weakness playing Modern Warfare 3?

Definitely my aim with the SMG’s is the weak point. I usually get the first shots off, but I just have difficulties with holding the bead.
Are you open to development and critique in your gaming style and approach to game?

Sure. Play with a hundred active or former US military service members in your clan and you become malleable, or an asshole.
What elements of your game do you want to improve?

I really want to improve my use of Assault Killstreaks to give myself some room to develop deeper attack plans off those instead of using them blindly
If you were cast in this episode of Roll Call, what would you want to get out of the experience?

Beside fame and glory for myself and my clan? The idea of a professional guiding me at my favorite game is a one in a million chance. I’d like to show the COD nation that Noobs can learn from the right guidance if you listen and apply yourself.
How do you feel about having a camera and sound crew filming you, potentially at your home, following your daily life for a minimal amount of time and being featured on camera?

I think it would be a positive thing for us. Showing an active duty military family to the world as a normal, run of the mill American household can’t be a bad thing.
Do you think you could be natural and comfortable while being on camera?

I actually have a lot of experience with an active camera crew. I had embedded journalist in my squad from “The New Yorker” in Iraq the first time. The second time, I had a low-level CNN correspondent which filmed us 24/7. No issues to report except he had terrible body odor.
If necessary, are you willing to travel to Santa Monica, CA?

i just turned 33 and I'm cooler than you...your jokes are old...I've evolved from Final stand...like I did from the tube...these are the things that have garnished me the love from Roll Call, not you. Suck it!

I cant wait for Dom...just hope I dont confuse the times like I did about the HCTDM...we runnin' the old squad?

I was called today by Sam Messe of Activision Roll Call Fame today...He was at a wedding when he called so it was a very short conversation but it was all logistics concerning my travel plans to the Roll Call Studios...

I guess I never told you that fact, so the the Hotel will remain with their current inventory...and yes, I've never failed to mention, brag, or notify them that I AM ...USMG!!!!!!
