thought i might also add that in order to have an eligible account for beta opt in, you need to have atleast one product registered on there (warcraft, WoW, diablo, starcraft), which is the only thing that has stopped me from doing so already. I lost my original game keys for WarCraft 3 a long time ago so i can't register them and never did in the past. I'm considering buying a digital copy of StarCraft + the brood war expansion for 15 bucks because that was a sweet game and my discs are all scratched up and almost unplayable thanks to letting my little brother use them in the past. Why some people have such difficulty keeping games in the cases i will never know...

Im still kinda put off by the idea of having to buy 3 different games to get the whole experience, but I loved the first one so much that this is aallmmoosstt a guaranteed first day buy for me.

yeah, the whole planned expansions sort of sucks from a buying standpoint but that's just how Blizzard rolls. They'll release the StarCraft 2 Battlechest shortly after the expansion that will include the original game, the expansion, and the two mini strategy guides. It's like clockwork with them, so predictable

I remember when it was gonna come out before Warcraft 3, then Wow, Then X-pac for WoW... waaaaaaay back when it was gonna be "Return of Xel Naga" and then it was gonna be "Project Ghost" and Finally, a finished product. I have to say it looks pretty snazy. I checked out the vids, and have seen the trailer on TV a couple times. Gives me chills. I hope I can make Tower D games like I did in the last one. I was original creator of "The Matrix" I called it that cause it was my fave movie at the time. Shows how long ago it was LOL. my name was EF-Fenix. Back in the day... CAN'T WAIT!

i remember getting excited for Starcraft 2 back when they had the little secret part in the credits of warcraft 3. I thought for sure they were trying to hint it was close at hand, not several years away :lol:

and i was disappointed when ghost got canned, i liked the direction that was going. Granted it may have turned out a bit like Metroid prime, but that's ok, i would have played it still

The intro is about the only thing that looks good to me about this game. I personally can't get into those above view games.

damn is it just me or is their download server extremely bogged down right now?

i've had it downloading for almost 4 hours now and i'm at 4% with ~100 hours remaining :shock:

i may have to wait a couple of days until the initial wave dies down if i ever expect to finish the download :lol:

HOLY SPACE INVADERS BATMAN! There is a mini game once you reach outer space, and unlock the cantina. it's called lost vikings or something to that extent. The mini game freaking rocks! so does all the dialog so far. LOL HILARIOUS! It's what I expect from blizzard. they are genius. anyways I can't get past the protoss carrier in lvl 1 on that game. so hard! my high score so far is 25,000 points though. BEAT THAT!

Yes it is, but they revamped it with new graphics so it's not all pixilated. IT'S AMAZING! Someone other than me get this game, and add me as friend so we can co-op some shit.

i'm beginning to think i will never get this trial downloaded. left it running all morning and i'm at 13% :(

haven't even downloaded 1 gig yet and it's over 6 gigs total. The trial period will likely end before i get it fully downloaded lol

I plan to finish single player today. This game is AWESOME! I EASILY give it a 10 out of 10. I already got max Protoss and Zerg research, so when you get later artifacts, it gives you 2k credits for each one gathered after you max it. Totally awesome. Also, when you choose to help the scientist chick or the protoss, PICK THE PROTOSS! Trust me... You also get a cool relic thing to hang on the cantina wall that shows the Protoss owe you one.

BUMP! Hey! this is my first Bump. That means that this game in fact ROCKS and everyone with a decent computer should get it. SERIOUSLY! Me and Airborne want to do 3v3+ sometime, cause we're tired of Woopin ass on 2v2 (or at least the last 4 games, hoping to make it 5 to get that achievement). BUY THIS GAME! 8-)

Yeah but the mouse does make a difference they do tend to become shitty. Halo Wars was fun but didn't you control like groups of people not individual soldiers? I would hate that. Plus the bases were limited.

Well, an "individual" base grunt was a unit of 3-5. Spartans were individuals, as were all vehicles. So yeah, you could always control individuals.

Bases were limited, but it actually made sense, and you could have multiple bases.

Yeah true... Nothing will top SC original for me though, Age of Empires 2 would be a strong second but yeah not SC. :)
