Not sure if there's already a thread about this, but didn't see one.
I would have to say it's a toss-up between the PI (Philippines) or Okinawa...and the winner is!
PI!
For those that have been there, I think you know why it was my favorite. I was stationed there at Subic Bay/Cubi Point as a Telecommunications Technician from 1987 to 1990, needless to say, it was more like a three year vacation for a single 19 year old E-4. If you all want to hear some stories, we are going to have to make this thread rated "X":censored:
Who is next? please also indicate when you were there.

In my Army career.... I would say Baumholder, Germany or anything in Germany. I had such a great time while i was there... strip clubs, pub hopping, fighting, goodtimes.

Haven't been overseas stationed yet, only CONUS. Don't know about the people on base, but back home in Hawaii, nothing gets better than locale and the women.

Angels, I have to agree with you about Hawaii, I just wish I could have spent more time there. Our ship stopped there on our way out to the Gulf for three days, and then on the way back from the Gulf for another 3 days.

Yeah, even in the AF, things seem to break down over there... I wonder why?;)
My last duty station was my fav, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, K-Bay on Oahu. Spent my last year there as the range SNCOIC and a marksmanship instructor.

I was at Fort Campbell, KY with the 101st my whole time in the Army... It was the opposite of fun (unless you count Nashville being 45 min away).

I second this.....word for word.

This reminds me of my first duty station at Ellsworth AFB, SD. Yes, South Dakota... When I was at tech school awaiting to head out I found out I was going to SD, but I originally thought (and people led me to believe as well) which was thought to be San Diego. After I found out the truth and cried a little (a lot) I was at SD for 4 years. Other than the base being in the middle of nowhere, the horrible windy cold weather and the "interesting people" it wasn't bad... It is what you make of it though and I survived so it could have been worse and be stuck in Minot...

Same reasons I loved Kaneohe Bay Hawaii...
Followed up by the worse, Camp Pendleton.
I preferred Fort Lee Va. over Pendleton, and it was an Army base.

Ahh, paradise. I was there 91-94.

Ft. Sherman, Panama 89-90... Sun, surf, jungle, Costa Rica right next door....signing in up to three local ladies at the club per service member....nice odds...should have bought real estate in Costa back then....place is a resort now. Anyone go to JOTC or do security rotations there? Shittiest security rotation was Hof, Germany during cold war....

So many festivals with drinking (heavy), beer tents, wine booths, parades where there were brewery floats handing out nectar....yup time to go back...been wanting to for a while. Take the wife and kids and hang out with the oldest one on her turf. Go to Spain and kick back on the beach. Have to do it back pack style though, just getting there would be spendy.

Yeah I loved all that and the Spain spring break trips the army organized. I am trying to swing a trip for my girlfriend, son and me to go back. I miss it all, luckily I have friends in Frankfurt and Heidelberg still to stay with so the flight is the expensive part.

But it will be well worth it in the end.
