I went on a promotion board once. I marched a platoon into a tent, talk about embarrassing!! Found out after it was over I would have won the board but I screwed up the drill.

Don't sweat it to much sticky. Just be relaxed and confident and you'll do fine. Obviously knowing your chain of command and other random af current events trivia is helpful, you never know what they're going to ask you.

Yeah I've been studying the PDG mostly but I'm just hoping most current event questions are opinionated lol. Thanks for the advice for sure :hail:. I'll be sure to do some last minute higher-up chain of command studying haha. :mullet:

I don't see it like that. I see it more as a bullet for whatever package you submit down the road. It's kinda stupid if you ask me. You could be a stellar airman, but without bullets like this and "firewall five" EPRs, you may not be selected for competetive/prestigious things.

Yeah now that I am a staff i appreciated the 6 months I had to wait. The experience is pretty valuable and in a lot of places especially on the flightline it's very cutthroat. Just depends on how you look at it. 3 stripes is nice but it depends on your shop. I was the lowest rank on my crew until I did sew on staff... so I know a lot about waiting. If you make it try and push for ALS as soon as possible. You get 10 credits towards your CCAF and its good to just be done with it.

Its always great getting promoted. Especially when you get that RAISE! hahaha! I personally think that's the main reason to get promoted and not getting smoked anymore by nco's. More rank, more money. Oh and a bit more responsibility, but you get more money lol. Money money money money money!
