About last night

Had a bit of trouble hooking up with everyone last night ... full servers being the real issue.

Did finally get in with Goosman and EatLead and we had a couple of really good runs, on a TDM server running 500% tags.

The highlight of the night for me was on a Metro Conquest run when I ran a fowl of ... Dun Dun Daaaaa!!! THE ADMINISTRATOR!!!! Eeeeeekkkk!

They had us pushed back all the way into the mouth of the tunnel at the breach and were just face rape'n us the little by little we stared to turn the momentum and for what ever reason I got on a tear. I was take'n tags and running the new AUG A3 drop'n all in my way. Grand total of like 3-4 mins of just complete "I wish I had video of this shit!" moments and then my screen goes black.

Next thing I see is "You have been kicked by Admin."

I bust out laughing cuz all I can hear in my head is "I got a credit card that says I can do what the fuck I want... your banned!" turning an otherwise heartbreaking buzz kill moment into something really amusing.

EPIC...Your Banned LMAO!!!! I read on twitter that some people are re-downloading CQ from the playstation store and it is working. I'm trying it right now and will let you know if it works when I get home later.

Me neither. Mjolnir has re-invited me a half dozen times tonight, but I can't connect. Everything else works great though.

Goose had to download it twice before it worked so you may have to try that. Also make sure your downloading it from the playstation store.

I've got it downloading now before I hit the rack. Hopefully it'll be up and running when I jump back on tomorrow night.

Just happened to me again, although it wasn't as long a match. It was TDM on Metro, and once again it was a match where I was doing great but it froze up on me. Had no issues though after restarting.

On the PS3 side, once I did this, I have not had it lock up once! :drum: I took forever to dl everything, but the database rebuild only took 2min on a 160gb model. Thanks to whoever suggested I rebuild the database! I think that did the trick!

With all the hub bub about the new BF3 stuff, I decided to throw it in and download everything I had erased for BF3 when I ghetto swapped a old white xbox HD for the puny one my black 360 slim has...went swimmingly, until after I got the 2.8 gig MP update done, the Karkland map pack and the latest patches. It took a while but for some reason, the title screen prompt for the HD texture update download is there, I choose a location, then I press "A". The status bar comes , loads a sec, then goes right back to the prompt. I tried this a few times, but a loop was all I came up getting. I finally said hell with it and played a bit. It looked fantastic, so, is that in the MP update or Karkland and its a redundant command prompt now? Anybody tracking this issue?

Please add me on the 360 side (jumpmastr82nd)..I'm moving to playing Bf all week, then MW on clan days, so I have about 14 hours on BF3...I suck and I need guidance!

Rebuilding the DB will not erase anything other than messages, playlist etc.. Unless there is massive corruption. I just did mine and nothing was erased. A good indication that you can benefit from this if trophy syncing takes a long time..

PS3 Recovery Menu Options

Restart System This option boots your system as normal without changing any settings or files.

Restore Default Settings. Restores all default settings on the PS3 for networking, clock, video, etc. For a full list of the restored settings you can look under settings> system settings > restore defaults on your console or you can check out the XMB (http://www.semperthree.com/xmb.html) section on our site. This should not eliminate your game saves or other saved content, including your user login.

Restore File System This will rewrite the files the PS3 uses to boot. This feature will help if files have become corrupted and are not allowing the console to boot as normal. This should not erase any of your saved data or settings.

Rebuild Database This can be a usefull feature if you have lost files on your system for no apparent reason. Try using this feature to see if it can restore those files. This will also rewrite corrupted files within the database, potentially eliminating future issues. This feature should not erase any of your saved data or settings.


RESTORE PS3 SYSTEM This will restore your system to original including, formatting and erasing all of the data on the HD and returnig all system settings to default. This will not take your system back to a previous Firmware release. Use this option as a last resort, unless you have nothing on the console that you want or you want to erase everything on the console, do not use this option.

System Update This will allow the user to update their console with new firmware via a Flash drive or other portable media. This will not allow you to update via an internet connection. This can usefull if your system has become corrupted to the point you can not boot. You will need a portable media device with the correct firmware and in the correct file structure to complete the upgrade. For further information on using portable media to upgrade your system please see our section on upgrading your Firmware.
