I've been catfish noodling but I don't fuck around with sea beasts. I have legs and lungs. Not fins and gills. That shit is for the birds.

No, I wouldn't survive! But I would never be in that situation. The water in NY is so green you can't see your hand in front of your face. So scuba diving, not so fun...

I used to have a python that bite me quite a few times, so i had to keep getting tetnus shots.

Eh I got a friend who's got a rescue python she saved, has had it for 4+yrs now, never got bit yet. Big thing is knowing when they are stressed or scared. it can be tricky sometimes but I handle mine almost everyday and use a different cage for feeding. So far so good :)

Snakes...eh whatever...sharks on the other hand are something I try not to think about. I grew up on the beach and surfing was my first true love. I have surfed some pretty exotic spots, but I always plan my trips to white shark free waters. I have seen big bulls and tigers in the water and always calmly get out of there....a white though...as so many of you said...oh hell no!

Yea, bulls are sketchy, but a strong surfer or swimmer has a high likelihood of surviving an attack by a bull. Getting hit by a bus with teeth is something all together different in my mind....white sharks

I dont think your a pussy....some people just physically cant control it..... I know not all snakes are bad...I know that its a matter of handling and making sure they are not scared or stressed....I just physically help it.

Actually I have...ive been attacked by a pit and a rottie before. Not fun but when your Phobia is snakes...its a completely diffrent world....its something inside that is uncontrollable
Its sad about that pit attacking you...whats even sadder is that it had to die instead of the owner who was probably the cause of that dogs behavior

Yeah, I don't like to hurt animals either, but in this case we had no time to do anything else. The owner, who ordered his dog to attack us, was pissed we shot his dog. You tell your dog to attack 8 cops wearing heavy vests, and helmets, what do you think is going to happen!!

Specops03SS
06-12-2012, 10:56
What the hell was he on Crack? What goes through your mind to make you think its a smart idea to sic your dog on any cop let alone 8?!!!! COPS CARRY GUNS AND ARE TRAINED TO SHOOT A DOG IF IT ATTACKS THEM! People of just damn ignorant....I lose faith in the human race more and more every day lol

This happened during a search warrant. He was just your standard drug dealer. Unfortunately the wrong animal was shot. Shooting a dog is a last resort though. We use a fire extinguisher to scar them. Its funny how good it works too. They go to a corner and sneeze for a while and forget all about you. In this case there was no time for that.

You guys think Great White Sharks are horrible. Bull sharks have a higher testosterone level than a Great White. Your more likely to eat fucked up by a Bull Shark than a Great White. Either way, don't be in the water if any of the two are near you.

Here's a vid from Shark Week of a shark expert getting attacked by a Bull Shark. Fast forward to the 1:57 mark and you'll be at the attack scene

Yea they caused Volusia county FlorIda to take the bite capitol title a few years back. I still surf there a lot , I have seen em, but never had a problem and never was around an attack. Lucky maybe, but I think the biggest factor is that there are just a lot more people in the water than ever before so greater likelihood of encounters. On the east coast bulls are just a fact of life, especially around river inlets which are also usually the best surf breaks due to tidal extremes. I put up a couple surf pix in my album on my profile. Both spots are known for bulls but hey, choice waves like these don't happen every day!

We get them here in MD a lot too. I think they are the only sharks that can swim in fresh water without any problem. Which makes its dangerous, cause we have water that surrounds my entire state.

Yea they often travel up river to fresh water to have pups free of predation.

Yea I seen that and they said they found one way inland up a river...they can swim in fresh water because their body measures the amount of salt in the water and acts accordingly...they produce their own salt to survive
