I agree! I am getting really bored playing the same maps over and over and over....Like playing Nuketown twice in a row. And Firing Range twice in a row. Come to think about it, lately the lobbies I have been in like to play the previous map, whatever it is, back to back. WTF?! Semper Fi!!

Oh, thats right, 360 got them first..... Berlin is the single best map addition ever. Stadium is awesome. Kowloon and Discovery or whatever are good but mildly meh. All four are amazing camping maps, but all the good camping points are accessible from multiple directions. Making them "good" camping maps. If you play with a team of random morons.....you're screwed. Otherwise they're a lot of fun.

Ok I think I have reached my limit on all these campers on BO! I like playing Domination but it seems like for the past couple of weeks everyone is just going around and getting there kills and not taking the flags. I've played quite a few games where the other players have either none or 1 capture but have a ton of defends, can you say camp much! I think it's time for me to dust off MAG! That is if they don't still have the freezing issues that got me so pissed I stop playing it. So maybe I will see you on the MAG battlefield...that means you Ironhide, Mardi, Crypt!

It's due to all the vids on Youtube about how to spawn camp/trap. It's happened to me a couple of times on Nuketown and the Havana maps. Once the "trap" is done, the opposing team is screwed. Also happened to me while playing Demolition. The other team wasn't doing the objective. Not even trying! Just wanted the kills! So I went back to playing TDM. Same there as I listed above. I have Homefront, but the connection issues have still been a problem for me. That's why I haven't stopped playing BO yet.

It's well over a year old now so if you're a great fps player than yeah it's good fun but otherwise it's hell.... cos they know it inside out and back to front now ...so it may take a while to catch up.
I loved it to begin with but last time I played it I hated it. It's MP only too

Heck yeah, and with Tracker and I being 2 of the 6, we tore them up! ;)
Seriously though, with the new multiqueue option where you can queue up for multiple game modes, Tracker and I were waiting less then we used to. Not to mention it is like Christmas because you don't know what game mode you will be playing, or attacking/defending since all maps are neutral now! We had a blast tonight! :D

Ugh at the traitors. Mostly because I simply can't justify the cost :(
Also, I kind of like some of the trap attempts. I've been playing with my neighbor and his brother, so we're constantly a full 6 man group, as soon as a group puts a trap in, we tend to break it. And it's kind of hard to justify going 40-2 and not having as many points at the end of the game as the guy who goes 19-19.

Get the game. Just when you play it for the first time you have to choose which faction you want to join. When we first started playing last year we all started as Valor. Judging by Lady M's statement, most everyone still is in Valor.

No biggie, it's not like my mic was charged anyway...lol. I have never heard of that message before on a ps3. I have had mine ramp the fans up, but it has never overheated. It must be all the porn you are streaming. :rolleyes:

Alright well I got a laptop fan for my PS3 and bought some canned air too. Sprayed the inside with the canned air real good. The fan seems to be working well so far I will have to see how it acts tonight when I am playing games that it when it really seems to heat up. Netflix doesn't heat it up to bad.

i'd jump on and play some MAG too if i can get this internet connection sorted out. i don't lose internet connection but my ps3 drops off the PSN after 5 minutes or so. and seeing as MAG matches last 30 minutes......yeah i'd have no luck

COD Series is made for younger gamers. I really have never liked the COD series because all it is about is how they can cheat and hack. IMO the game that is best besides MAG is BBC2.

COD Series is made for younger gamers. I really have never liked the COD series because all it is about is how they can cheat and hack. IMO the game that is best besides MAG is BBC2.
Well come back to MAG Vet! It would be cool to get our big clan games back we had a blast! Oh yeah except that one time I kept getting team killed by those douches and I completely lost it and started screaming like an insane man....LMAO but it was good times!

I used to run and gun and now I'm finding Camping more effective on certain maps. Not that I go in with the intention of Camping, but if I happen to pause in a place and people throw themselves at my feet begging to be shot, well who am I to deny their request? I do move along after I finally get killed.
I had a recent game in Firing Range where I went into that popular camping building because I always go there first but usually die right away. Next thing I knew I was like 12-0 and then they napalmed my butt. After that I just ran around the board :D and died a few times.
I purposely camped this one building in Stadium (don't judge me) because I had a string of crap games before it and didn't really feel like running around and I went 17-0 that game. Another time I did it I had another high scoring game and this one guy ran at me and I killed him like 9 times. Geez. I also happened to look out the window just as this enemy tactical dived and died right in front of me off the balcony across the way. I had to do a double-take because I wasn't sure I just saw what I saw. lol People crack me up. And when I checked it in theater I switched to his view and he just purposely did it. There was no threat to prompt an escape attempt.
I DID however do USMG proud on Jungle where it was just Me and one other team-mate against five. I not only had us winning at the end until my teammate died and tied us up, but I went positive 22-15 I think it was. I did NOT camp this game in case you were wondering.
I'm definitely ready for some new maps though. Kowloon needs to be ditched lol. I hate that map.

I too have also noticed noob tubes alot lately. But that could be because of challenges to meet contracts and similiar. I don't really camp, but I do go up and check out window fields of fire. If someone is there I'm going to take the shot (if I have it)! But I move on. Mainly that tactic is used on the Berlin Wall map. I hate that map along with Kowloon also! Why do people go straight to the Monkey Room and camp that? And Bullet, if you find yourself needing more USMG players to play with, text me and I will get on and join you! Oh wait, you don't have my cell number! LOL!!! That's what me and savingurazz does!

I pretty much do the same thing...run...sit for a second or two...run again...plant claymore...throw a decoy...run. :cool: I don't think I ever sat in one place more than 10 seconds unless the other team just kept on running at me.

Not so sure that would get more females involved since we're kindof used to being male "Characters" in the FPS games. The chance to play that character would be random anyway and more likely we would end up a guy.

I checked out the new Zombie map yesterday morning! I'm not really a fan of all the Zombie stuff on BO, but, this one is pretty cool! And nope, you can't really camp. You HAVE to stay moving and shooting! I was constantly running around saying "shit! shit! shit!" while laughing the whole time! And as for the new maps, they are pretty cool! Nothing really new that stands out. All the maps are big. No small maps this time around! It's pretty neat how you can ride the elevators to get upstairs/downstairs quickly in Hotel. Of course, as with ANY new maps, there are campers! VERY aggravating! Domination on the Zoo map was a BLAST!! Lots of hiding/sniping point on all the maps. So look out for campers!! LOL!! Other than that, no complaints!

Yeah, it was two weeks ago, which isn't really relevant since it was a multi-platform event. Would it really matter if they did it on all three platforms? It's not like there is a benefit to "keeping it fair between the platforms." More people play during double xp events.
But I'm biased anyway, since I thonk they should have them at least 2x a month, if not every week like Halo did.

Escalation is busy these days from the welcome back package. Actually the wait times are very small since they included multi-que with bonus for every game mode you select! ;) Longest wait I have had is about 10min. Multi-que is sweet!

That bastard is George Romero, the godfather of all zombies.:D He is carrying an electrified stage light....which is kinda YMCAish. Anyway, once you piss him off, take him to water and he will cool down. If you get the new VR11 gun pack a punched, which turns zombies to humans, and shoot George with it, he will go back underwater for a couple rounds. We also killed him last night after TONS of ammo in him. We got a trophy, and he drops a perk, but then comes back 2 rounds later...wtf. :mad:

I'm currently downloading the First Strike and Escalation packs (finally). I'm trying to get something out of this game before BF3 gets here.
Wasn't having much fun with it last night. Timmy, Jack, Rookie, and myself were getting our butts kicked last night. We were pretty sure there was some underhanded glitching/lagging afoot. I think we all finally said "To hell with it" at about the same time.

I just got escalation as well, but didn't quite have enough to get first strike too. I completely forgot i had a $25 gamestop gift card from doing online surveys so i went on their website where you can do digital purchases for things like PSN cards and DLC and they just give you a redemption code to download it. I was $5 short on being able to get both DLCs so i got pixeljunk shooter 2 and escalation because i wanted call of the dead over ascension. I didn't manage to win a free copy on twitter but still, free is free and you can't beat that :D
Tried it a little bit ago solo but i didn't get too far lol, I forget what round i made it to, maybe 6 at the most and 50 something kills. I tried taking out ol' George but despite having activated insta-kill, a nuke, and dual pack-a-punch pistols (insta-revive drink + kill yourself by cooking a grenade, method i used to easily take down the pentagon theif solo) i still managed to drain all my ammo and not put a scratch on him. pretty thick skin for being a movie director turned zombie. a talking zombie no less

I think this may end up being the case with a lot of people. I gotta hand it to them though for still trying to put out new content, 3 DLCs isn't too shabby for the average shooter and I'm sure it makes the diehard cod fan's day to see them keep coming. And with MW3 still a few months out I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they managed to pump one more out

I think Zipper had done a good job of trying to keep MAG fresh for as long as they did. Those of us that have been in the clan for the longest know how much we played that game out in it's early days (and we still do).
If they choose to make a sequel, they're going to have their work cut out for themselves to make it not just the same old game with new maps.
In the end, it's going to come down to BF3 setting the standard, IMO.

1. Ghost pro does not shield you from SR-71 detection. I don't know why I had always assumed this up until now, I guess because the description say avoid aircraft targeting and I thought that would include a Blackbird too. I realized it by reviewing a match where 2 times the same guy starting shooting at me before even rounding the corner.
2. During the previously mentioned match review I realized that one of the reasons I suck at this game is that I lack the telekinetic abilities that some people seem to have and use to curve their bullets. I recorded a handful of the clips of some of the better examples and threw them up on my fileshare, If anyone wants to have a laugh at us getting killed while the enemy's crosshair is 3 feet behind us then check it out lol

one of the matches on convoy last night i'm pretty sure we had a lag switcher. every time i tried to engage the same guy I'd hit a lag spike and then they'd pop up to the side of me and i'd die. every time i checked the scoreboard everyone had at least 3 green bars for reception too so something was definitely afoot...

Because unfortunately, some people seem to base their lives off a high K/D ratio in these games or want to win no matter the cost. If their skill is good or bad I don't know cause the keep lag-switching too much to tell. Either way, report, avoid and game on.

Let me check and see what the old lady and my oldest daughter have planned. They're supposed to be going to some girl scout camp thingy over the weekend, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing with my son and youngest daughter just yet.

I'll be trying to get in some time late tomorrow evening (Friday). Like you, I'll jump between MAG and KZ3 due to the triple XP weekend they're offering. Saturday is a question mark for me. I have to help my father fix his porch, so no idea how long that will take. I'm sure I'll be on sometime over Saturday evening / early Sunday morning.
I won't rule out playing BFBC2 or Brink either. Hell, I'd even play some Black Ops or SOCOM at this point.
The big variable for me is that my wife and oldest daughter will be attending a girl scout camp over the weekend. I'll be taking care of my son and youngest daughter on my own over the next three days. It'll be a little bit of a strain since they both need a lot of attention.
Just call it a catch-as-catch-can weekend!

there were a lot of really amusing and fun games tonight, we should play sticks and stones more often.
Here's the video of one of my favorite moments from the night, where I got a double bank shot and Mardi narrowly escapes death 3 times back to back before getting taken down

as you can see, I huck a tomohawk at Mardi and it just misses his leg, then it bounces off the ground, off the wall, and very well may have clipped mardi had it not hit the other guy instead, effectively stealing the kill too. Then you see Jack fires a ballistic knife and barely misses, followed by the ssecond shot that connects. Then Jack tramples Mardi's body and then goes for the diving knife kill he'd been working at all night....and fails lol. But then I avenge him with another tomohawk :cool:

Did you get the "Date Night" trophy yet? I watched some of your clips, but I'm not sure if you already had that one or not. I went to PS3Trophies.org to see the criteria for this one, and it says the following:

yeah i've gotten that trophy. It's pretty easy to do, you need at least one person in your party while you're in the theater mode and then load up any video of your choosing and once it starts playing you should all get the trophy
If you or anyone else is looking for that trophy just send me a message and we'll jump into theater mode, it literally takes about 2 minutes of your time to get this one

Well, I went ahead and got the latest map pack for BO. The new maps are actually pretty good! But what I have been playing the most is the new Shangra La Zombie map! It's pretty awesome! And I usually don't play the zombie maps! Even my wife liked it when we played some split screen zombie killing together the other day! Maybe I'm just starting to get bored with the regular MP. Now that I have maxed out at 15th 50, the game is just starting to get kinda bland. Or maybe it's just me? LOL!!!

Like I said, the new Zombie map is pretty cool, but to break from the norm, I have been trying Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, based on the Marine Corps. It's ok. I JUST got it though. I'm still used to BO controls! LOL!! And of course I have Duke Nukem: Forever. I recently dusted off my copy of Darksiders. Now THATS a change from the norm! LOL!!! But I love that game!! Kinda reminds me of the OLD Legend of Zelda when you had to search the tombs and beat the level Boss! Just PLAIN old FUN!!! LOL!!!

If I saw the little memo correctly on the bottom of the screen prior to connecting to the network they are including a nuketown 24/7 playlist. Even if you hate nuke town this is great news because it's by far the most popular map amongst the annoying kiddos (followed closely by summit) so chances are a lot of them will be jumping in that mode, leaving you to play other modes in peace. And hopefully then it wouldn't be a guaranteed repeat vote everytime nuke town comes up
It seems like common practice that once a property – whether it be video game, movie, or TV – reaches a certain status among the population at large that the companies behind that game start thinking about holding publicly attended events to promote the property.
BlizzCon has enjoyed tremendous success, hyping many of the fantastic titles from Blizzard and giving first-look previews of their upcoming games, so it would make sense that another popular franchise, perhaps the most popular franchise at the moment, Call of Duty, would announce plans for its own event.

The problem is that while WoW may be the biggest draw to Blizzcon, it's not the only one. I don't see a convention focused around a single game, even one as popular as CoD, as being as successful.

For Call of Duty fans -- and there are a lot of them -- the regularly released DLC map packs are a low blow to to wallets and bank accounts everywhere. Normally priced at $15 for around 4 maps and a zombie level, the cost price for the additional content is rather ridiculous compared to downloadable games which are often cheaper than. Are a few maps really worth 25% the cost of the full retail game?
While DLC has always been somewhat controversial, especially in charging for content often intentionally left out of the full retail package, in the case of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Treyarch says it’s not them setting the high prices.

All the clan OGs are PS3. Most of our influx of 360 players came when we were in Xbox mag, or around that time... Some actually switched from 360 to PS3, and the others faded away for the most part... Just go trade in for a Black ops bundle and get it over with already lol.
