Ok so I haven't been rolling well recently. Not horribly but not my usual Reaper to Reaper pwning. Today I was playing with a couple of the guys and saw something that almost made me lose it. I am running Dead Silence and came sprinting around a corner during a Core KC match. I ended up getting shot by what I thought was a strafing enemy. Until of course the Kill Feed came up and I saw what was to be the most astounding sight. The culprit was running Blind Eye pro, Assassin Pro, and da da da Sit Rep Pro. He was waiting for me. The new patch making Sit rep pro better has allowed people to sit in corners and truly be a serious problem. Now there is no sneaking up on a camper. If they are running Sitrep pro they don't even need a headset, you can hear the steps on TV. But best believe they are sound whoring. This is what Infinity Ward has been doing, allowing the noob to be well... better than what they are, crutching the better players. This is ridiculous. And from what I have been seeing it has been causing some fairly awkward spawning. Best believe we will be seeing more of this on the Clan ops unless they decide to outlaw them by prohibiting them in gameplay together. But who knows this might be another thing for Infinity Ward to allow to fall on deaf ears.

Sit rep pro allows you to hear footsteps?

Not only does it make the enemy steps more profound, but it allows the people using dead silence to actually be heard by them.

Dead Silence is a bigger crock of shit. SitRep pro is beast mode!

Kant you must love hearing them coming. But you don't camp. Wait until you get caught lol.

To be honest I don't run either of them. I haven't had sitrep pro since my 7th prestige. I run steady aim pro all day er'ry day motha trucka! GG NO RE easy choice. I don't care if most people hear me they are dead regardless :cool::rolleyes:

I still don't think sit rep pro should allow you to hear footsteps, maybe highlight air support. It's making a perk obsolete. It wouldn't be fair it marksman pro allowed you to see people with assassin ...

Think about it, if you can't be seen by air support, on radar, and can hear someone coming, you really never have to relocate any farther than 10 feet or on the other side of the room in the other corner.

This isn't really new though. That aspect of the pro-perk has been there for quite a while. The way around it is to not run around the map like an elephant... You have to crouch and take your time when trying to sneak up on someone. If you're crouched they can't hear you either way because you don't make noise whether you're running dead silence or not.

Yeah but they just recently added a patch that enhanced it even more. They buffed Sitrep pro. And because of the patch I have seen a lot of people running this perk setup

Well, I see what you guys are saying, but I found running a class with recon and assassin helps out. I use flasbangs with recon to view those guys then sneak around them or lore out with a claymore or something. Noobs can't resist when you flash and dont enter the room. They come running out right into the claymore.

Assassin helps because it negates the sitrep pro, makes them here it as it would be normally. That's all I can suggest. I do agree it sucks, that's why I run that setup on sniper class sometimes. Good hunting guys.
