Check some of the Army's finer weapons at this National Guard Expo I was asked to help host. You can tell in the picks that this is my first issue of uniforms because I was embarrassingly ill-equipped without my 82nd Airborne combat patch, tabs, badges, CIB, nametape, etc... This was prior to my Guard unit's first ever deployment, and this expo was showcasing the money the Army (taxpayers) spent to equip Guard guys for war. Hopefully it didn't only help recruitment quotas, but also some pride in Joe Shmo taxpayer.

:lol: I knew someone would ask. We had to have a condition 4 weapon until otherwise instructed or we got shot at of course, which never happend, dumb I know :? . The kevlar I usually did wear except for most pictures and those really hot summer days that I just had to let my head breath. :D We mainly just got mortared all the time when I was there. Never saw a fire fight, did see a VBIED blow up and kill 10 ING members and injury about 40. I was about 4 miles away from the blast but it was a big one. Got all sorts of gut wrenching pictures from that too :shock:.
