Did anybody else have to re-download all the maps?

I got on just now and was told I was playing on the old maps and to re-download ALL of the maps that have come out!! Did anybody else have this problem? This was after an update I had to do on my XBox.

Yeah but it actually only downloads what you don't have, it just goes thru the motions and what you already have jut completes in 2 seconds. I had to go thru 3 times to get them all

Yeah it was tedious and annoying as hell. Couldn't play while it was downloading.

Yeah another fail on their part but at least the old maps download was quick and painless...the hard part was the freaking hour or more I spent waiting on the three new maps.....and I must say the two that I played in face off SUCKED BALLS...what happened to the ak74u drop i heard about:doh:

I don't even know if I want to do it. Not like I play the new maps anyway lol. I will be getting the new weapons package though

Just set it yo download when you plan to go out or sleep then turn on the download when not on option in system settings. Them no loss of game time.

yea that works for updates but not elite drops...i started them then went to town and the 3rd one was at 11% when i got home took over 30 mins to finish the last 89%

It works for me. I confirmed the purchases adding them to downloads and then turned it off while I ate and came back and they were downloaded. That was the actual new ones. the first 2 sets were just verifying files then marked complete.

I had to "re-download" every content drop... But it only took a couple seconds because they didn't REALLY have to download again. Only took a couple minuets to download the new drop for this month too.

You guys say a couple minutes. Where as my brother and a few other guys (RookieHunter) took them damn near an hour or more. I'm not even going to bother with it.

Well that's Internet speed. I have 30mb so it is a bit faster than many people. Except at about 9 ever night something causes it to slow down.

I got Verizon FiOS and that shit is fast but my brother still had issues downloading it

He also has a CAT 5 cable that runs about a 100ft to his room, but his room isn't a 100ft from the router. I haven't tried mine out yet but I guess I could give it a whirl when I get home

100 ft is nothing really, I have cat 5 ran thru my house. which sucks cause we are looking to move very soon and will have to do it again if the new place doesn't have it. Maybe I can run Cat 6, not a major upgrade but it sounds cool haha. Problem with ISP's is community bandwidth. I know they say dedicated but at some point everyone in the area goes into one CO/ phone/cable shed and they all rely on one fiber or cable to get to the main area hub then either daisy chained or straight to the ISP's main Internet feed. They call it backbone, which is true, but think of all the ribs and things that feed off the spine/backbone. It fills up at some point. I worked in fiber optics years ago and no matter the house speed at some point there is a bottleneck at ISP's. They work on it but as they get better so does our need for speed. I am a little lucky that I live in a hillbilly small town, but the whole valley of 50,000 cable users uses one pipe to get out of our region so there we bottleneck. IF your a heavy traffic user like me you notice. I usually have 2 ipads , ps3 and xbox running and usually a laptop all at once.

can you tell I started my 2 in the morning dose of Oxyelite pro today haha

I def tell you took your morning dose of Oxyelite...lol....cool. I have a couple of things that are running on my wireless router but none that are in use while we game. I make sure no devices are streaming while I game. I'll check into that.

there is no benifitting factor in running cat 6 besides tighter twisted pairs unless you are preimptive planning that one day they will move from cat 5, almost all ips that i know wont make a diffrence over cat 6 except maybe if you have a problem with interference in your internet lines. all routers put out internet over 2 of the pairs which leaves all the other pairs useless technicly so its up to you what you run but just thought i would throw out my knowlege since i worked for att installing that crap for awhile lol

I just made the same argument in my IT dept meeting 20 minutes ago. I have spliced a cat5 into two drops. Most of my buildings are cat 5 but we use more pairs since we use Cisco Poe switches for our phones and AP's.

It depends on if you've downloaded them already. I had everything dl'd previously, and it took about 5 seconds for it to confirm. I think it has something to do with the game update that no one has mentioned yet.
