JellyBean!!!!

i just got wind of the new android OS.. Jellybean going to the new Nexus Tablet.. its also Hitting my Xoom in Mid july!!! sweet !! so far getting this tablet was the best choice ive done!! its upgrade free twice from honeycomb to ice cream sandwich.. and now to jelly bean!! and each time more and more functions!!! cant wait to see what jellybean brings to the tablet!!

Yeah I'll be picking up the Nexus 7 for my car project but I hear 4.1 is only a minor upgrade. Still, it'll be interesting to see what it's like.

Yes GED = Google Experience Device..for example my Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi tablet is a GED.. but the Motorola Xoom 3G/4G... is not hence because of third party's involved...aka: Verizon or what other cell phone company also has Google device's.. so Google can roll out the new OS's to GED's first with out having to ask or worry about third part vendors.. cause if ya didnt know Google bought Motorola...

Lol yeah I know they bought them lol and I have att and love giving them the middle finger so my phone is rooted bootloader unlocked and have a custom from loaded ^^ att sucks with their customer support

I'm hoping their rollout speeds increase - Motorola has been notoriously slow. I finally got the ICS update for my RAZR MAXX.

I didn't know there were 2...there is the original RAZR and the RAZR MAXX...I have the MAXX. I would post pictures, but it's kind of my camera...

I had a razor maxx to my knowledge you couldnt really do much with it unless yours is part of the new razor versions

Ummm...no Droid RAZR have folded ever to my knowledge. Are you thinking about the old dumb phones? Cause those haven't been sold commonly for 2-4 years and never ran on Android...

Nah. Just one RAZR. It was a great phone but it had epically bad battery life (and because of how thin it was, a non-removable battery), so they came out with the RAZR MAXX (which is still extremely thin), which lasts me a whole day easily of fairly heavy useage. I doubt we'll see other RAZR remakes though.

I can kill a razor maxx battery in 7 hours with just messaging, tapatalk, email, and Facebook. It lasts longer than my old blackberry and my buddies iPhone

If I only do that, my battery will be about 25% at the end of the day (0800-2300). If I'm watching YouTube, playing games, or streaming music, I'll kill my battery in about 8-10 hours depending on usage. May be because my phone is practically brand new.

I was already rooted just my daily driver ROM didn't have the JB ROM made yet and they just released it yesterday. The no lag is great! The new Google now or whatever it is is cool too. Trying to figure it out still though.

yeah all the newer devices will get the update but the older ones are finally being let go... sucks .. i love my Xoom.. ive had every update since 3.0 honeycomb.. like i said time to learn to root this bad boy.. im good with the concept .. since i used to jailbreak and unlock my 1st gen iphone all the time.. shouldnt be to hard.. i wish Sav was still around so i could ask him if i run in to any probs.. i know hes running a rooted xoom for a while now.. anyone else seen him around? anyone else root android's?? any pitfalls do i need to worry about before i do this..

I rooted my DInc...but a lot of HTC devices are super-easy since they use unrEVOked which allows for a painless one-touch root. Check out the xda-developers forum - they usually have full guides on rooting every major device.

I used my unlocked bootloader to put a rom on since there isn't really a way to root the retail os that Att puts on it
