My Motorcycle accident

To everyone who is interested. I was in a bike accident this past Sunday. Just to give those a brief description of what happened, here it goes. I was leaving a pool bar in Baltimore, and no there was no alcohol consumed. I NEVER drink and ride. That would be stupid of me or anyone who does. Anyway, I was in the second part of an S turn and when I realized I was going a bit to fast. I dipped hard to maneuver out of the situation but couldn't manage to hold it steady. I hit the curb, jumped off the bike, barrel rolled a few time. Nothing major happened but I did sustain some road rash and a minor concussion. The bike has an estimated damage amount of about 1000 dollars in damages. Here are some pics of my accident.

Currently I'm stiff as a board in my leg and in my core section. Headache comes and goes but all in all. Good times lol. There's an ole saying for those who ride. There are two types of riders, those who have gone down and those who are gonna go down. So if you're a rider and haven't experienced it. Be ready when it comes

I agree. My accident was at 25-30 mph. I can't imagine what I could have looked like at 60 or higher

I work for a Suzuki dealership, and I know how expensive those repairs can be. You'd be surprised how much those plastic cowlings go for. We had one guy bring in a Kawasaki Ninja that he laid down on the right side. I think the parts were starting in the $1300 range alone. That's before labor and whatnot.

Thanks everyone. I only sustained minor injuries, but I'm in good shape though. I only walk with a limp cause the scabs prevent me from walking normal. As for the Magic Mike thing, I have to make sure my six pack stay better than theirs. Can't have all the girls talking about their stomachs all the time lol :p. Kant, appreciate the comment on the lats. Pull ups are my favorite exercise. Other than the beach muscle workouts lol. For those who are looking to get a bike. Don't let getting in an accident deter you from riding. Its something everyone will experience. Embrace it and move on. Just make sure when you go down, you go down like I did. With a smile at the end. Hurts but I still won't let this accident stop me from riding. I said this in the beginning. There are two types of riders. Those who have gone down and those who will go down. River, I hear ya on the prices for new fairing. Just the two on the right side cost me 500+. The petal alone cost 230. Expensive prices for those parts.
