Ok, so long story short I rescued a german shepherd who is literally allergic to almost everything. The only meat she is not allergic to is kangaroo and venison, she is even allergic to duck! Anyway, she is on a kangaroo and oats diet (no shit, vets sell it), but I guess I am going to have to start deer hunting again this year. I figure one deer for the dog, and the another for the wife and I since meat is so damn expensive at the store. I am looking for a good marinade recipe for jerky, and any other good ones you may have.

First off, be sure and get a pressure pan if you don't already have one. The pieces of meat you can't get off the bone by hand will fall right off if you use one of those. That way, you can use ALL of the deer, including parts you might not normally such as the neck and ribs. This should help give you plenty to help feed the dog.
One recipe I love is to take the tenderloin and slice it open lengthwise. Stuff it with a mix of cream cheese and jalapenos. Wrap the entire tenderloin with bacon, using toothpicks to hold it. Wrap it in foil and put it in the oven at 350 for about 45 minutes to an hour (depending on how much you want it to get done). Enjoy!
