Intriguing......what gen of glock is it, and how many rounds through it? I don't have a 92fs, mine is a 92A1.

a 92a1 is OK since it has the similar setup as the 92fs

That looks like a Gen III, but I can't say for sure. Don't own any Glocks - my polymer choices lie elsewhere.

Yeah the xd is a better choice for polymer haha but I wanted to get a beretta 92 series mostly cause of how the slide release is and also how the slide catch and mag release are both ambi

Yep, an xD is what I have. I gotta say I do love the easy disassembly on the 92, but otherwise not so much.

The way the 92fs is set up, you can field strip it in about 6 seconds. That's one of the many things I love about it

I have both XD, XDM, and Glock. The trigger and sear setup on the Glock is far easier to work with than the XD. When I shoot competition, it is easier to jump between my 1911's and XD's due to similar grip geometry. Otherwise for contruction, cleaning, and reliability, I think Glock has a slight advantage. Glock slides are much easier to clean, but it is hard to beat the XDM tear down lever! Glock really needs to do something to make tear down easier for women. My wife has a hard time with her Glock 19 getting the slide in position and pulling the tabs down.

It looks like I am gonna have to wait on trading my 92. I thought I had my Glock 23 sold, but his wife wouldn't allocate him the money...:pound:

Yeah the tear down on Glocks is a pain. I don't like the magazines on Glocks, and the positioning of the mag release on Glocks is more difficult than my xD. I don't know that Glocks are inherently more reliable than xDs, though and the xD is just more comfortable to shoot for me. But guns are one thing where everyone should have their own opinion - when the zombies come, you better love your weapon!

I can't argue that they are both very reliable. It is just observation from shooting both, that my glocks will eat just about anything I feed them without FTL or FTE. Don't get me wrong, my XD's see alot more trigger time than my glocks for competition shooting.

On a side note, my beretta 92A1 is the only pistol besides my Colt 1911 that shoots perfect POA out of the box. It is a freaking tack driver, although jumping from DA to SA always gets me....lol!

Hmmm...I've only tried two or three different types of ammo in my xD, so I'll have to look at that. I will say my M&P 45c will eat anything so far - no FTL or FTEs through several hundred rounds. And I love 1911s, but can't justify another handgun right now. But it will be my next one!

My buddy who is a lefty pretty much only shoots his 1911, since the ambi stuff he put on it works so well and a lot of guns don't have ambi stock available.

I used to have a CZ-85. Designed for military use and for ambidextrous use.

I like the Smith and Wesson M&P I have two .40 of them one fullsize and one is the Shield. Love them both. i didnt like how the xD felt in my hand or shot for me. All of the pistols in this thread are great its goes down to the litttle things and everyone will be different.

If the shit hits the fan I'm strapping on the xD so I have 13rds of .45 ACP. I wouldn't carry it concealed , but it shoots great. I like my M&P45 for carry
