Well the good thing about that is I don't think the graphics are going to be prohibitively intricate (i.e. it won't be another AoC). After being in the betas where they are still on DX9 based graphics, the world is nice and detailed without being overly taxing on hardware.

I think there is planned implementation of DX10 and DX11 but I got the impression from the betas that this game would be awesome with the graphics cranked up, but still awesome without that.

You definitely won't need a bleeding edge box for this game, meaning if you build a PC for it, you won't have to spend too much.

Yeah I only have a macbook pro right now. So when I build a pc, its going to be one to play more games than just GW. :)

Has anyone gotten in on the beta action yet? That game is going to be pretty cool as far as MMOs go.... Nothing groundbreaking, but there are enough refreshing unique aspects of the game that it should keep my attention for a bit.

Nope nothing for beta right now, but i have been watching videos of the last Beta they had from the Yogscast.

Ok well if any of you are interested in joining a guild, I'm in one that's a carryover from an AoC guild. No Quarter. nqtr.guildportal.com

Not a super serious guild, and they're from the PVE side of AoC as opposed to the PVP side, (although they do partake once in a while) so they're not the wild and crazy dbags you might associate with AoC.

I have been playing this since prerelease. I was big on GW1 and was an leader in the CDXX Legion, 200+ active players...BUT, I joined a different server...I'm in Fort Aspenwood server....I don't carebear though....I pvp

The game is pretty cool....10times better then the original....I stopped the PvE crap and have been leveling via WvW....love it

Trader has been borked the entire time. There was one patch that was quickly rectified which introduced a ton of lag. Other than those, smooth launch IMO. However, damn.... Melee require quite a bit more skill to be good at; I'm wondering if that is going to lead the less skilled to QQ and cause a ranged nerf....

I'd have to do a world xfer, do you guys have a good guild? The one I'm in has kinda just fallen by the wayside. Can't remember exactly which server, but I think I'm on a different one.

How do you like it so far?

I think my verdict is yet to be made. Since their is no subscription, I think gw2 might be back burnered for a bit.
