Also what percentage do you usually tip in these hard economic times? :D

depends, but if it's under $40 I tip $5, and under $10 I tip to the nearest $5 ... over 40 I just round it off to the nearest 0 or 5, depending.

Out of all these, I hate tipping for valet parking. Some establishments cornhole you into this as mandatory or you have to park far offsite and walk in. I usually tip 20%+ and I review places on yelp.com :D

I usually tip 20% but tipping is getting out of hand, everywhere you go they expect tips now and it pisses me off. I'm surprised fast food joints don't have tip jars because just about every other establishment does.

i've seen a few fast food places with tip jars actually. I usually drop my change in there because i just don't like lugging around a pile of loose coins. mainly it's the plentiful mexican food places that are so plentiful in southern california that i see the cups at though, so maybe it's just the norm for them.

I've actually never valet parked so i have never had to tip but i like the way they did it in vegas last time i was there; The valet parking is a free service offered by the casino so you only paid as much as you would like to tip them.

I tip servers when i dine in as well as the barber when i get my haircut, but i usually don't think about the actual % i tip so long as it doesn't seem to be below 15%, my real concern is how well did they actually do and how much extra do they deserve. I frequently get the evil eye from friends for "over tipping" though so i suppose i'm too lenient lol

I'm a cheap SOB...generally $5 tip for every $20 I spend.

How is that cheap? $5 for every $20 is 25%, that's well above the norm and not cheap at all.

I'll give 15% and everything above is dependent on how well the service is by the end of the meal. Now if they're jerks or assholes then I'll subtract from the 15%. That rarely ever happens. I personally think tipping is becoming ridiculous and out of control. It has gone from 5% when I was a kid to the 20% they try to get out of you nowadays. Why? Is food prices the same as it was back then? NO, food prices have increased like everything else so that means the amount of the tip would increase also. So why does the percentage of the tip need to keep going up? At this rate in another 20 or 30 years we'll be paying a 50% tip.

15% is my standard at restaurants, if they went above and beyond Ive been known to go as high as 30-50%. I was a server while I was in college, before I joined the Army. So I'm a little inclined to tip more.

lol...I never tip strippers. I figure that most of them make more money than I do, so they don't need my money.
