hard drives are like 99 bucks for the new xbox 360. Solution? Go to gamestop, buy OLD USED white XBOX 360 hard drive for 20 bucks (60gig I think), then youtube "how to use old xbox hard drives in new 360". Should give a million examples of the 4 easy screws to remove and what to do when your ready to install. I have a huge ass hard drive like that I paid 60 buck for, stripped the case off and have been enjoying it ever since, worry free! on 1-10 scale of difficulty I give it .05 with ten being the hardest....

I have read online that since Aprils update you can us thumb drive. You just have to have it formatted to fat32. Max they say is 16gb. Is that not right?

You can try, but I think for BF3, it has to be installed on a mounted drive and it will not work on flash memory. But I have used a flash drive to store games on the market place, so I know that works.

Yes, you can, and that is exactly what I did. I had a 250 gb slim that my daughter broke. So I got the 4 gb then put the 250 gb hard drive right in it and it's fine.

You can pick where you want to save to which is kind of cool. It's just an extra step when you turn on the Xbox. It asks you to pick a save device.
