So I just moved into a new house on base and since last Friday we have been experiencing some wierd stuff.. my wife heard knocking noises in the basement when I was washing the cars and that's where my man cave is.. second my brother in law said he heard footsteps in the hallway and the stairs down the basement.. yesterday my sprinklers was turned on and I never went outside prior and it was set to how I set it.. today my dishwasher was flipped with dishes in it and after there was a grey residue left and there was none before that.. any thoughts?

It may sound odd, but leave a digital recorder down in ur man cave when u know no one will be near it and just leave it recording. Upload it to ur comp and download a program called audacity, its free open source, and just listen to it and see what ya pick up. I actually run a ghost hunting group haha. Just be mindfull of any vents near the recorder to see if voices from other parts of the house transfer. But u did just move in, the weird dishwasher gray stuff could just be the water. 90% of the time there's a rashional explanation, its the 10% part that's keeps me into the hobby haha

Yea we tried to explain it bit its just odd.that its happening now.. people around my street have said they had experience the same thing where things got misplace turn on and off.. the washer is new and we only used it once.. it smelt like rooten fish and we haven't cooked fish

Well if u get bored one day, do some history about what the land used to be before it was developed. If u can't find anything at the library, check in with ur local historical society. But try that recorder trick lol just don't freakout if u end up getting something lol I do find it interesting that people around you have had similar things that stand out to them. Could just be coinsidence, but its enough to perk my ears up lol

From what I understand it was a native burial and all around base there has been some activities.. the base clinic in front of my house has some activities and they said that its from the shooting bak in '94. I'll deff try that recording thing but afraid of the results.. haha

Ah its on base, ya that should make digging up the history a bit interesting haha but even if u do record a voice or something, always try to explain it away as something natural before jumping on the omg its a ghost bandwagon lol I've recorded a light breeze that actually sounds like a garbled voice but its just the way the wind hit the mic. Use a pair of headphone and crank up that volume and just keep an open mind.

A bro of mine I work with, (one of you Doggies, Cav Scout in '04) bought his house a few years ago on Staten Island, NY. Within a week he had started to experiance all kinds of wierd shit in the basement. He and his wife would find stuff thrown about, the washer and dryer unplugged...all that kind of stuff. One day last year he had two FBI guys show up, with paper, and needed to check out the basement. Apparently, his basement is where a top mobster was killed and they needed to check out again because the case was opened up again. If any of you know the movie "Donny Brasco" there was a scene where sonny was killed....well...Sonny was killed in his basement!!! He shit is britches....his wife eventually snapped and started screaming at the ghost...or whatever it was. She was doign some wash and her coffee was spilled over and some loud banging was going on while she was down there...she totally lost it in a way only an Italian chic from Staten Island could....most of the intense shit has stopped since. The FBI has also been back to his basement 2 more times, each time they are there they take pics and measurements....crazy shit!

Here;s another....another guy I work with, his wife is Japanese and spend the summer in Japan with thier two sons. Last year, the kids where in Japan and my bud what skyping with them. Funny thing. I can go out in the woods, go in cemeteries at night. Be in a fire fight. I am from childhood still irked by mirrors in the pitch black dark. And where I work we have a high school that the original part was from the late 1800's when they still had Indian issues and was uses to hold and sometimes hang raiding parties. I have the hardest time keeping electronics working in there and feel like I'm watched the whole time when I work late in there. Only one teacher has stuck it out in that wing. The rest always fight to find a new room as soon as they can. The one teacher is cooky. So I remembered something the other night. My mom when I was a kid was religious but also on the cultish side of Catholicism. She and her friends said I was born and my soul marked to be a warrior or Knight of God against the demons in the next war. I didn't know much back then but when I visit my mom still is a little weird and tries to give me protective medallions and the old saint things ( little book like necklaces)

Ok you guys would have hated to have me as a sister then. I had this creepy clown stuffed animal thing and it's face glowed in the dark. Well this one night my brother and cousin were watching scary movies in the living room so I tied a rope around the clowns neck and dropped it out my window to the sliding glass door below mine. Then I dropped my dogs leash down and used the snap to "tap" on the glass. The screams I heard were most satisfying lol :).

My dad didn't find it funny however because he had PT early the next morning.
