Hey all, I apologize that I've been MIA for about 5 weeks now. I am graduating Airman Leadership School tomorrow and it has taken up all of my spare time for the better part of a month and a half (Air Force you know what I'm talking about!). Looking forward to getting back in the game this weekend

It was a nice little break from work lol, but I am ready to go back. I knew most of the information before hand as I have been to multiple leadership seminars since I was a kid. It was somewhat of a challenge to balance the workload, help lead the class, make time for family, and have a little relax time. Nothing that was too ridiculous, I am graduating tomorrow as one of the top leaders/performers in class!

Good deal. Good to hear that it was a good learning experience for you. Sounds like it was mostly a refresher course. Is your class similar to the Army's Warrior Leader Course (WLC)?

Aside from a few differences in info they are pretty much the same.

So ALT, when do you get to put on SSgt?

The last time I had to do any land navigation was during SERE training. Even then it was maybe 60 minutes total in class discussion and field training. It was still a good course to go through.

Hahaha! Shit...when I was in the Army, I had to do land nav on a quarterly basis. You NEVER want to get lost they say lol

Too true. I think it was yearly for me. Not completely sure after 4 years out.

I've been out for two years and I'm glad I don't have to deal with all the quarterly nonsense

Welcome back and congrats on making it through ALS that's what I am dreading in the near future. They say it's mostly a refresher but it does have some good info on being a superb NCO.
