anyone know which is better?

so i have bought almost all my parts for my home built computer and all i need to do is choose which graphics card to get i want the gtx 670 but idk which vendor would be better to get from either ASUS or EVGA?

When I built my rig last year -- 560 TI, I went with EVGA. Also you can spend a little more and get the model with the lifetime warranty (if they have an AR model) . At the time EVGA seemed to have less complaints than some of the others. But ASUS cards are good as well. Honestly its a crap shoot. So the warranty aspect and reviews was the basis for my selection. Also on NewEgg typically EVGA brand usually is the most popular so that is what people are buying for the most part.

Also if you do have a issue, I think you will get better support out of EVGA than ASUS..

I haven't bought either, but everything I've read gives EVGA is slight edge in graphics cards - mobos, seems to be a toss-up. But check the reviews on the specific models you're looking at to make sure.

I was reading somewhere at work Friday about the Asus cards crashing and faulty ones. Also check the cooling unless your doing aftermarket cooling. I think the Ftw has better Cooling out of the box.

Who? I know several people who have been very pleased with ASUS. I don't know anyone who personally has an EVGA one, but some of them have very good reviews. I was looking at getting the EVGA SR-2 when I get around to building my computer (i.e. when I have a spare $2K) :eek:

I had an Asus gamer republic mobo, it was a $500 piece of shit paperweight.
I've had an evga 750 sli mobo that I bought for less then $200 to replace the asus, best mobo I have had thus far.
Imo - Stick with the evga, you won't be disappointed.

Btw, Asus support is terribad. And everything is an RMA.

I've heard some real bad stuff about Asus's support, but I have zero personal experience to back that, so take it with a grain of salt. That mobo also took quite a bit of an OC beating and never had any issues stemming from that, not even a hiccup.

Of those two choices, ASUS or EVGA, I'll take EVGA every time as long as we're talking about the same component.

I have never had any problems with asus MBs, but there support is disconnected.. Regardless of product EVGA does have better support. ASROCK (ASUS spin off company) support is disconnected as well.
