So this was on the front of this morning USA TODAY paper. Talking about competitive gaming and how its getting bigger. It also talks about BO2 being able to stream games. We gamers have been hiding in the basement to long with our Mountain Dew and Doritos we are no longer mostly teenage kids playing , each year I would say the age of the average gamer is increasing. This weekend at my daughter soccer tournament I started to discuss borderlands 2, next thing there are 6 of us 5 father and 1 grand father talking about MOH and BO2, the wives were joking about it but my wife came to our defense, she said at least I know where **** is if i need a hand I just yell for him and he stops after the next match to help (used to MW3) and a game of golf with beers and everything cost almost the same as a gaming system, she also said if he is drinking all he does is play his game then goes to bed, no worries about DUI. I was like wow and the other wife's who husbands plays games acknowledged what my wife said and the other wife's who husband play golf and other stuff could not hit back at all. Off my soap box.

I agree. My other favorite hobby is working out. I can't tell you how much I've spent on supplements to stay healthy. Port can agree with me on this

Can't argue with that logic. I'm more comfortable around computers than large groups of people anyway.

totally agree, I spend about 200 a month on supplements, but I feel good for 38.

I play alot of games and at least 4 hours a day. My girlfriend knows I will help when needed as well and she will do the stepper if it a workout night and we put it behind where I sit so we can talk while I game. She actually said if I went to events like Pax East, almost registered she wanted to go she is my wing man tells me if I am hurt or shields low and I forgot to align or missed a camper. She loves her quilting so she will work on something on the couch while I game. we don't drink much anymore, but she likes I am semi social when I play. She bought me a leather swivel recliner I liked for gaming and this past weekend we (yes she helped wire) installed surround sound and put my PC into the entertainment tower. Plus the food and drinks she keeps on hand for gaming, I mean like beer, soda, water, juices and chips of 6 different kinds. She said its worth it cause I am home not alienating myself and good fun. she thinks its cool and laughs at some of us in voice or live chat.

is is what I'm talking about gaming is becoming more main stream for adults. We should start a new gaming mag or on-line mag geared towards the adult gamer (not talking about Porn) with stuff like best chairs, mic's and other stuff rather then like some mag which still geared towards the teenager to college kid. Heck I best guys that play video games have strong relationships due to being at home more. Is it cool for a 40 some year old to wear a gaming shirt?

I sometimes read gamestar, its an adult aimed magazine, I dont know if they cancelled US circulation, I read it online in German.

I have seen a ps3 one before for adult gamers. dont remember the name

Quite possibly. I would also venture that the average "adult" gamer is in better shape than the average teen gamer, due to families, having a "life", and better eating habits. I've been reaaaaally surprised when I found out a few adults I knew were gamers.

This. I don't play anywhere near as much as I used to, simply don't have the time....yet she still bitches. At this point I think she does it just so she has something to bitch about, because I've heard her admit to people that she prefers me playing games to going out and drinking each night like other of our friends do.
