This General is just awesome. Made me want to get back in the Corps if this was true. I just read this article and thought it was hilarious. Seems to be just a joke site! lol

There are a few things over the years that made me wish I had joined the corps instead of the AF. This is definitely one of those things.

It's about time they put in a Commandant that's not a politician!! Now the Marine Corps will be back to where its supposed to be!! I love it, and wish he was Commandant when I was active. Congratulation Marines, the Corps is back!!!

"You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil. You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them. Actually, it's a lot of fun to fight. You know, it's a hell of a hoot. It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right upfront with you, I like brawling."

I'm not sure if that is real or not. For some reason I think it's fake, but it would be awesome.

After being promoted to lieutenant general (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lieutenant_general_%28United_States%29), Mattis took command of Marine Corps Combat Development Command (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_Corps_Combat_Development_Command). On February 1, 2005, speaking ad libitum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_libitum) at a forum in San Diego (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Diego), he said "You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil. You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them. Actually, it's a lot of fun to fight. You know, it's a hell of a hoot. It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right upfront with you, I like brawling." Mattis's remarks sparked controversy and General Michael Hagee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Hagee), Commandant of the Marine Corps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commandant_of_the_Marine_Corps), issued a statement suggesting that Mattis should have chosen his words more carefully, but would not be disciplined.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Mattis#cite_note-AmericanSpectator-7) Following a Pentagon survey that showed only 55% of soldiers and 40% of Marines would report a colleague for abusing civilians, Mattis told his Marines in May 2007, “Whenever you show anger or disgust toward civilians, it's a victory for Al Qaeda and other insurgents.” Reflecting an understanding of the need for restraint in war as key to defeating an insurgency, he added that, "Every time you wave at an Iraqi civilian, Al Qaeda rolls over in its grave."[9] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Mattis#cite_note-8)

Also a good read..

Probably so. From the political standpoint, having tattoo's wouldn't be a good idea to have BUT as a General in the Marines. Whose going to say anything to you. The president...I'd say," sir, with all do respect, go fight for your country (literally) and then tell me that my tattoos are not good enough to have" lol.
