So the Mouse has a serious hole in his pocket.


Pixar Entertainment for 7 Billion dollars in 2006.

Marvel for 4 Billion in 2009.

LucasFilms for another 4 Billion mere days ago.



But good old Mickey isn't done yet. Next on the chopping block to be assimilated? Hasbro. The owner of Magic: The Gathering, D&D, G.I. Joe, Transformers, and a dozen or so other game and toy franchises is currently being eyeballed by Disney. And while it could take years due to various legal issues, such as Paramount owning the movie rights to G.I. Joe and Transformers, I wouldn't bet against it happening.

It seems Disney is trying to buy out childhood. To be honest, I'm not too saddened by this, as it could be great for the franchises.

Hahaha! This is freaking hilarious but pretty awesome as well. Congrats to Disney if they do pull it off again

I invested in DIS in 1994, it split 3 ways under Mile Eisneer, then I sold it in 2003, and bought SIRI when it was low...sold that the same day stern did, made more cashola, then from those two stocks I ventured into a tech portfolio....I was in Iraq when the market crashed....lost everything since I had nothing set and my broker was a tool....i found out the market crashed a month late....my COP didnt have tvs, internet..nothing, any way, I wad in Korea Village one day for a BN fragconf, I ventured to the mwr, got on the interwebz, made a play on IO, it was at ,50 a share....a year and a half later I sold it at $8 a share....and bought my house with much of the take....and reinvested the rest across a wide portfolio.

Im a stock junkie....DIS is at a valley right now, maybe time to pick it up again!
