Honestly looking forward to seeing how this pans out, because I think every franchise needs one of these. But I hope if MS makes one, they actually attempt some imagination in the name, rather than just ripping of Nintendo.

Well, neither does Sony really, which is why they aren't using only exclusive characters. There are just enough in the way of exclusives in MS's stable that, with a couple of the not quite exclusive characters, you could easily flesh out a similar game.
