Gun Control and the Media Fenzy

Here's a video guys... I'd like to say first off that my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the sandy hook shooting and that god grants them the strength to push on but this has gotten to become out of hand, Every single day the top stories on msn, aol, cnn, fox, everything is shootings, Gun Ban, Twisted Logic, its out of control. Every gun owner in America is being demonized right now, and you have the NRA CEO getting death threats and even youtube channels who have gun channels getting there family lives threatened. You Also have Dicks, Walmart, Sports Authority, all are pulling weapons off the shelves and were weeks away from a total gun ban. But I want to hear your guys opinions becuase this is bull shit. I read last night on cnn, one of the top stories were Should America be more like scandanavia... WTF America Shouls be America straight and simple... Im seriously on the edge right now because its so obvious what is going on and its people control, they cant get away with what there trying to do with an armed populous and thats the real agenda.

I for one think the disarmament of our nations citizens is a drastic, unnecessary and extremist measure taken by a Govt. who doesn't know what to do and doesn't know what's right for its people. With every horrible shooting like this there are a handful more out there that are prevented by armed citizens with legal rights to carry. This course of action is folly and it may set forth a wave of discontent that could very well end our nations comfort in the the fact that our Govt. wishes to protect us and seeks more to control us.
I was told many years ago by an Australian Trooper, while on deployment in Iraq, that every nation has the goal of disarming its citizens. I didn't believe that. I argued with the Soldier (who's Govt. did the same with disastrous results) that our Govt. was different. That we believed in the Freedoms our Fore Fathers fought so hard for....now, it seems, that they've forgotten those Freedoms.

I will build a false bottom in my basement and hide them before I give them up. I know that Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas isnt selling any AR's in Connecticut, I watched the NRA's press statement today and I totally agree with what he said about the media and I hate to say it but the same with movies and video games. I also agree with what he said about having armed guards at schools but we dont have to have them parading around the schools either and freaking out the kids. I dont like going into a movie theatres and other places that I enjoy these days and worry about somebody shooting up the place until I feel safe I will stay legally armed until I feel safe again.

Nope. They won't take all the guns at once-they're not that stupid. It will be gradual, incremental bannings, then confiscations, and there's not enough who are willing to fight it. I carry everywhere I go now, more so than before, but we will see a continual degradation of our gun rights, and all will be permanent-no sunset provisions this time.

I dont think they will get away with a ban period look what happened in DC after they banned handguns it was deemed unconstitutional. I think if they do any type of confiscation there will be a backlash from the people. But then again we wont know what will happen until it happens. I am not worrying about it going in affect in January thats too soon to make it loop hole free like they are sayinv they will make it.

Again this could have been all adverted if the NRA would have just come out and said large capacity clips need to go or regulated. But no they hid in the board rooms of major gun makers and then come up with the ides to do a media blitz, don't think for a sec they even care anymore about the indivuidal gun owner they now are working for gun makers, doing this they are going to make big gun sales by scaring everyone, with in the last week assault rifles have increase by $300 dollars, playing on the gun owners who will run out to by something that might not even get regulated. Now about the NRA response what are they thinking most schools have a budget negative and teachers have been given pink slips, so now they want school to hire armed guards where this money going to come from? For the parents out there think how many schools make up your district and add 2 pre school this would lead to higher school taxes. Now they are also attacking video game makers for the violent FPS we all love to play.

Nope. Everyone's sold out. There are literally none in the entire city. At one gun store (which is known for being high-priced) that stocks probably 100 semi-auto rifles, they are completely out. Every long gun capable of accepting a magazine is out. The last one was a tricked-out AR running about $3K and someone came in, said "put it in a bag-I don't care how much it costs"

What gets me is that they always blame the object....and not the human. The kid was twisted...it was not guns or video game or movies....all they did was help him live out his fantasies and his search for total dominance of others. He was already fucked up...he wasnt made that way from these objects. People in 'murica are naive on many subjects...and we also spend too much time trying not to offended each other by being pragmatic. Lets deal with the true facts! Also, one of the worst atrocities conducted in the US was via a truck bomb....not guns.

I am all for proper certification before having a weapon. But will that stop another slaughter? No....they'll always find a way.

I have a xD 45 compact and I love it. 13rd mags are awesome. Really you can't go wrong with the xDs. I greatly prefer them to Glocks.

Springfield makes medium frame and full frame weapons in all calibers you should look into them. I greatly prefer the feel of them to the glock as well as the added backstrap safety

I'll pipe up here. I've got a 9mm XD, with several thousand rounds through it over the last 8 years. It fires just as well today as it did the day it came out of the box.

Now Glocks are great guns, but I've always found them overpriced because of the name.

Thats a nice one mine is a 9mm but its all black. Do you have the slip on grip or different sights for it yet? I have the Trijicon night sights they are really cool you should take a look at them.

Mine has the trijicon sights, and that is the 9 round mag for concealed carry I've also got 4 12 rounds with grip extenders. The kick is VERY good for a sub compact 40. Way better than my glock plus I love the bi-tone which isn't an option with glock.

Are you sure? The barrels are very noticeably different, xD to xD(M). Thinner profiles, angling, some big changes to make it a nicer carry gun.
